C Chapman you are a very insulting. Do any of you know the meaning of Bufoon,
olive's Posts
I so dislike /tesco's they are one of the biggest tax dodgers a-going.by putting most of their income off shore. In this money is winner takes all with little social conscience Tesco and other giants will be all powerfull
Day is a waste of space, they do not represent the 'ordinary' people of Dawlish, did they get voted in, who has given them these powers???
Firstly people could be using the library or some other public internet provider. Secondly didn't Dawlish have a lady Mayor until recently. Why doesn't everyone write to the local paper mentioning their disquiet with the Councils conduct. If enough of you did it the paper would have to publish. Get a petition going asking if people have faith in the Town Council. I rarely come on this forum now as ...
I agree. Doubt you will get many replies unless someone sees a council conspiracy involved or they are buying their ham from Tesco
At least we are getting the long awaited skatepark. There is enough p.c., in this world let them get on with it, then we will have happy skate boarders
everyone is up in arms about youth unemployment etc., they do something positive about it and hey presto everyone is up in arms.
We really need help surving in sleep Hollow called Dawlish. How much does it cost
Well you can spend a few enjoyable hours in Dartmoore Becky Falls there is great Suggest that you get information from the Tourist Centre as it is difficult to know what to recommend another person. Enjoy your time in Devon
Yes great isnt it, certainly shut up all those who did nothing but run the idea of having the market down
Over two million people left the country in the last couple of years. Tabliod press will always blame immigration
Why is every new initiative in Dawlish put down. Continental Market criticised before the event.Skate Park ctiticised. Supermarket that will create 150 new jobs criticised despite it will mean more people coming to Dawlish, spending their money in the town.Locals will reduce their carbon footprint. Also for the first time Dawlish will have a decent shop for people to buy their bulk shopping at a ...
Bardwell everything you said is true. My son in Starcross will now shop in Dawlish and before or after their 'big'shop will pop into town as they do when they go to Newton
He probably claims those expenses himself, they all do. I wrote to Younger-Ross to ask him if he would attend an all party group on my illness he hasn't even replied. Many people with the same illness have not only had replies their mp's are attending.
Where are these young 'yobs' Kids may be noisy have a few swear words they bandy about thats normal. I am sick of people slighting the youth I have nothing but respet from them.
All the continental markets I have been to have had German French Dutch etc and dont forget Poland and Romania are in the E.U. Polish food is very good. I know a farmer who sells in Exeter and Newton farmers markets. They were making a lose in Dawlish due to the rents being to high and not enough publicity. The one in Teignmouth went the same way.
So we are stuck with the Co-op for the foreseeable future. Did you know that the Dawlish Co-op and the small one in Teignmouth are classed as convenience stores and on quite a few items are more expensive than the large Teignmouth Co-op. I for one would prefer Tesco's as it is cheaper than Sainsburys, but if I had the choice it would be Asda. I have emailed the Councilors and had no reply
Why did the government take so much business away from the Post Office i.e., t.v. license renewalPensions and benifits? It has been blatant sabotage
I shop in Tesco's dislike going out of town but until we have a decent supermarket have no choice. I have had two bad experiences in the Co-op one was in the big one in Teignmouth I took a trolley to the large checkout three people were working it. I was told in no uncertain terms that trolleys are not allowed as it is 10 or under items, I had seven items? I cannot hold a basket as I am disabled. ...
Left to the council the play park wouldnt have been replaced good for the Rotary Club
There are many talented people in Dawlish Anon, maybe they have to go out of town to be appreciated.
Dawlish is by no means lawless. One incident and everyone is up in arms. Pub brawls have always gone on, I rmemeber outside Smokey Joes years ago there was a stabbing. It isnt right but dont make out Dawlish is worse than it is.
I think it is fantastic wish they had something like it when my kids were young, shall be taking grandchildren in the holidays. £3 per child is very reasonable, their insurance must be sky high. Its good for us and the holiday makers somewhere to go in Dawlish on a wet day other than the amusement arcade. I wish them a very successful future
Thats a briliant photo like the one of the owls who has taken them
Now I it's called Cafe One, thanks. A pot of tea there cost £1.40 the same as Bow windows difference is it comes in a china Pot with plenty of milk and extra water. Coffee is no more expensive than Cafe Nero or Starbucks. The pastries are the best in town. I go in about 3 or 4 times a week
I was pointing out the some of the causes of homelessness, Why would anyone want to sign on if they are selling the B.I., it is a JOB a bona fida one, the person selling earns money and also helps others by buying it in the first place
Viaduct you are an ignoramus. GLOBAL WARMING is a threat to our planet, hence no Dawlish If sea level rise as predicted in the next 50-70 years half of Dawlish will be under water. If we don't do something about our enviroment pollution will kill off more than the third already of our animal life (B.B.C net news) You may not have grandchildren I do and I care about their future. Having tourist a ...
Me again What is wrong with people. Some moan about the class of visitor and the town needs to be more upmarket, shops come in which are going to attract those people and they are criticised. Lots of young adults in Dawlish wear designer clothes, if they can buy them here they wont be spending money in Exeter or Torquay. These shops probably sell on the internet as well. At least they contribute to ...
Dawlish Blue is brilliant and the sort of thing we need. I hope they are successful. The Town Council should put signs to advertise them and Vivians Gallery, Breaking Wind etc.,this part of town needs to be kept alive and kicking.
My son and his now wife rented a flat on Barton Terrace. They used to leave for work at the same time and go home together. They would find the t.v. turned on bed unmade lights on etc. They thought it was the landlord so changed the lock and put locks on all the windows. It still went on, they ended up living with me untill they found another place. I am sceptical but there was a strange ...
My grandchildren loved it that is all that matters
I will attend I am fed up with a few upstarts on D.T.C. trying to lord it over us
Welcome first visit, the forum has its up's and down's come and contribute
Some people just don't like change. Dawlish has two supermarkets that are very expensive and the smaller shops do not provide everyday items. I would like to see a supermarket that sells hoousehold and electricl goods and clothes. Then I would do all my shopping in Dawlish and use the small shops.
