Apart from that 'B&Q chic' gaff pretentiously called 'Numer One' is there anywhere else in the town to get a real coffee?
Funny people, those who post here.
Innumerable comments about how the town centre traders should do up their premises and how down at heel Dawlish is etc etc and the moment one of them does something to improve their business and its image (number one) they get criticized.
Nowt so queer as folk.
Dont know what it is called, it is at the bottom of Queen St., they do various coffee's all very good
Cafe Number one and the Lounge Bar are great. OK so they are a bit pricey but their cappuccinos are a work of art and there are newspapers and magazines to read - sort of place Dawlish needs.
Been in once, and thought it was a different option to the usual cafe's. Ok so its more up market, has less chavs in but as i'm not a big coffee lover it wasnt somewhere i'd rush back too. Even so good luck to them for bringing somthing different.
I'll stick with the Terrace cafe, good honest food at a decent price and a stong pot of tea. Friendly owners as well.
When i want a sanie and a beer , then its the pub on the front with the upstairs terrace. Good priced sanies and a great pint of Otter.
Now I it's called Cafe One, thanks.
A pot of tea there cost £1.40 the same as Bow windows difference is it comes in a china Pot with plenty of milk and extra water. Coffee is no more expensive than Cafe Nero or Starbucks.
The pastries are the best in town.
I go in about 3 or 4 times a week
It would be nice if the rest of the eateries in the town followed Number One's lead and upped their game a bit.
I'm worried your comment may be overlooked by the various comments on coffee in Cafe No 1. Number 2s in the sea is a serious issue and should be addressed. How big were they and did they have eyes?
Fisherman Fred thought he'd got a right catch. Heard him shout"IVE CAUGHT A BIG ONE" alas it was a number two
Wow Worm, Do you think it's the same number two that Joey Deacon saw? if not there could be more than one... Oh My... There could be whole load of them. What is the collective term for number twos?
