You can't break a promise to your kids. The price was back to £2 today. I think it was disgusting of the organisers to put an extra 50p on rides on carnival day just because the town had thousands of extra people visiting.

My favourite is Spinach mushroom and walnut. Cook a bag of fresh spinach as directed, saute a few mushrooms and add some walnuts. Make up a packet of savory sauce mix and top with a little cheese if required. one of my Delicious veggie recipes
How do I get into the new website?
I would be more concerned about people with bottles of alcohol on the lawn than a few fetes or sales. I walked through the lawn today and there were a group of people stoned out of their brain. One was lying on the bench mumbling to himself and others unable to stand. There were many wine and other bottles beside them. I came across 4 support officers and told them of my concern [which would be ...
Exactly my point! With the speed and the weight of these lorries I shudder to think what would happen if one had to do an emergency stop.
There are two threads on this forum about corrupt councils and councillors. Why can't people who wish to criticize the council or councillors stick to those threads.
Perhaps a lot of the people that post on this forum and appear to have written in the same style as others all went to the same school! I sometimes look at postings on this forum and think they are written in my style, which wouldn't be at all difficult!!!
I thought the skate park was originally going to be built under the youth centre. Who or what was responsible for the change of plans?
Ah! There's a problem or two. 1 I haven't got a strong voice. 2 I don't have a printer.
Must be the same greedy organisers as June 06 Parking then was 50p per car and 30p on foot to look around. We and many other people asked what the charges were for and were told it was to line the pockets of the organizer. By August 06 the fee of 30p to look around had been scraped!!!
Why did the council spend so much money on the Manor roof when the property is supposed to be in a bad state of repair? Why couldn't the youth centre have been there as a temporary measure ?
Stokes had a fruit stall on Tuck's Plot at the weekend.
This afternoon my husband and I also witnessed a Dawlish skip lorry driving at some speed along the Exeter Road also on his mobile phone!!!!!
I think they have taken up the turfs to accommodate the earth which they are disposing of from the skate park area. It will be interesting to see what happens to the turfs, maybe the council will sell them off!!!
After watching the trees being cut down at sandy lane playing fields ready for the start of the skate Park, let's hope it's not going to be a one minute or even a one year wonder. After speaking to one of the workmen involved he told me it's not often they have to cut down perfectly good trees. One wonders if the skate park could have been built on a different part of the park and avoided the ...
If the Town Council are preparing to move headquarters from the Manor House to a new building why not have the youth centre at the Manor. It has been said there are many problems with the old property. One wonders what the overall plan will be, maybe converted into flats or even sell it off! Apparently Bitton Park House in Teignmouth is being sold. Just a though!!
What about the bowlers?Obviously the ones with disabled cards won't be affected as they park by the roadside now.
Why not get in contact with Richard Younger-Ross ,he seems quite popular at the moment!
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I have before now gone to a Restaurant and had a perfect meal and recommended it to other people and they have been disappointed. I do think it's a bit unfair to try and put the blame of Dawlish's decline on this website as it does give out a lot of useful information. Maybe take off your rose coloured glasses and see for yourself!!!!
Check out YESTERDAY'S news on this website! I think you will find it came up on the news more or less as it was happening.
Have you been there 007? If so Which coffee would you recommend?
Bigger bird told me Lady's Mile turned down Tesco's offer!!!
Have you ever thought that these people may not have been so lucky to have had a family or the support they needed before things got that bad for them?
Peppermint Park, Golden Sands and Dawlish Sands have all been taken over by Park Holidays, so watch your daily newspapers and save your tokens for a cheap holiday!
How about getting in touch with the entertainment committee and see if it would be a possibility for carnival week. Just a thought.
Perhaps they would sell off any surplus land to K.F.C. or McDonalds!
My guess is you are either retired or unemployed. Not many people have the time to spend on day trips out by trains or buses, certainly not young working parents with a family. As with the shopping how many people have the time to check out all the shops to see if it's possible to save a few pence on a can of beans?
I heard that Tesco's had bought some land between Dawlish and Dawlish Warren.
I have just been in touch with Teignbridge and have been told the skate park is due to be started in May. It is going to be built at the end of the cricket pitch.
It's a bit like the local paper, people moan about it but still buy it!!
What a beautiful day, can't think of anywhere I'd rather be. Went for my usual walk and spent the afternoon in my garden, (working , well that's my storey!) Chatted to my neighbour and made some tea. It's amazing what a sunny day can do.
Wetherspoons, what a great idea, It would certainly encourage people to the town.
When the Grand ceased being a Hotel it was taken over by the Richmond.

I Think you will find that supermarket shopping is classed as a Recreational Activity.
Hi Newbie, We have a very good Leisure Centre if you enjoy swimming, also badminton, tennis, hocky and I do believe women's football. If sport is not your thing there's the theatre they're always looking for new members. Entertainment committee always need new members or helpers (there are members of your age already on the committee)they work hard to organize lots of events in the town. I'm sure ...
