I would be more concerned about people with bottles of alcohol on the lawn than a few fetes or sales.
I walked through the lawn today and there were a group of people stoned out of their brain.
One was lying on the bench mumbling to himself and others unable to stand. There were many wine and other bottles beside them.
I came across 4 support officers and told them of my concern [which would be holiday makers and local children who would want to picnic or play there] I was told by by one of the officers they couldn't move them on as they weren't breaking the law. Apparently a ban on alcohol in a public place has not been enforced in Dawlish. When I asked why the answer I was given, quote, The carnival didn't want it!!!!
I thought this must be some sort of joke but it got even more confusing when then I was informed the subject had come up at 3 council meetings but the council had turned down the request of a ban.
Teignmouth and Newton Abbot both have a ban and still have a carnival. Why is Dawlish so special ,OR NOT!!!!!!!!!

I agree. I saw someone mumbling to themselves the other day and it made me feel dirty on the inside. I felt tainted by their mumbly demeanour.

I don't want to feel like that again, therefore in my opinion anyone caught mumbling should be summarily executed. The swines!

I agree. What have these people got to give back to Dawlish. The answer is nothing. I think alot of them arent even from Dawlish. Cant the police just arrest them. Hopefully a spell might sort them out. They really dont deserve to be part of such a lovely town

The campaign starts today. KICK OUT THE EVIL MUMBLERS.

Send em all to the Isle of Wight - they'd be right at home there. The swines!
