How about this for a plan everybody?

Let's turn the Manor House into the towns much needed Youth Club. The mayor and his councillors can hold their meetings at the mayors pub, as many of them are up there on a regular basis anyway.....holding their freemas...oops, i mean, roundtable and rotary get togethers.

Very little work gets done in the Manor House at the moment....so the building would be utilised to it's full potential and be the perfect setting for the youth of Dawlish, with the grounds also suitable for many outdoor activities.

Better still....cells for corrupt councillors. These people sit on the council for one reason only.....the accumulation of personal wealth. They purport to represent our interests and that of the town.....but the truth is, they hunger for, and take up these positions to ensure their fingers are in as many pies as possible.

Ask mayor Protheroe about land acquisition, chopping down of trees and planning permission....would he have succeeded in any of theses without being a local councillor?

If the Town Council are preparing to move headquarters from the Manor House to a new building why not have the youth centre at the Manor.
It has been said there are many problems with the old property. One wonders what the overall plan will be, maybe converted into flats or even sell it off!
Apparently Bitton Park House in Teignmouth is being sold. Just a though!!

rumour has it its going to be sold to developers and urned into flats poss like the ones barratt homes do. the youth centre cant be the manor house as its far too old and has many problems as many old places do.

i do like the idea though, knock it down and build the youth centre there! but would everyone conplain bout that coz its too close to hedley way?

Put the ****ing supemarket there!

Now that's a good idea! Councillors can be shelf-stackers....Protheroe can be the trolley boy, Winchester can be store detective, Hockin can be the tannoy and Prowse can get a brand new hat by working on the deli counter....
