And will that mean more plonkers parking on the DY's outside of the childrens nursery hut, instead of parking safely and walking there.
What about the bowlers?Obviously the ones with disabled cards won't be affected as they park by the roadside now.
And have you ever noticed how many feel sorry for the dis badge holders, (I do) but not for those that claim one and then spend an afternoon or evening walking up and down the bowling alley/green. I have observed them parking in the Strand, get out of their car with a walking stick, hobble to the green and then throw their stick away for the remainder of the afternoon and then pick up their stick to walk back to the car.
Same with those two bays in Marine Parade.
I think it is known as abuse of the privileges.
Hey Roy, you can add "Ban the disabled" to your manifesto too.
With the new parking meters being installed, does that mean I'm going to have to find another car park where I can go dogging?
about time too, why should there be free parking in dawlish? we have to amek some money somewhere. i feel people who drive there car down town are damn right lazy, ok if you have a disability fair enough but coz you cant be arsed doest count.
where are the trafic wardens??
Mouse; you need to get upto date. Traffic Wardens no longer exist. Many road traffic offences (parking for one) have been decriminalised,(no longer a criminal offence).
You will no longer get a Fixed Penalty Notice for a normal parking offence (not paying to park, not displaying a valid ticket, not parked properly, etc. You can still receive a FPN from the police if you cause an obstruction, (Inter alia) meaning, among other things.
You will however get a PCN (Penalty Charge Notice) which is handled by your local authority, (in the case of Dawlish) Teignbridge District Council.
The officers are fully trained, (so they say) and are now known as Civil Enforcement Officers.
