Sorry you are disappointed but that was a statement made in the broadcast which stuck in my mind, if I can find it for you I will post it.

Well done Tom Daley! Plymouth must be extremely proud. If only Dawlish could produce an athlete of his calibre? Highly unlikely, when Dawlish Town Council's emphasis on youth amounts to background deals with Teignbridge District Council to push through a Youth Centre that is more concerned with alcoholics and drug addicts, than the local youth it was intended for. Now we learn that this Youth ...
I have just had some feed back from a member of Dawlish Town Council. The Producers Market will be opening in October, the Town Council have been working on the idea since April.
The Olympic flag will be raised at Dawlish Warren this weekend, marking its official hand-over to Britain as part of the Beijing 2008 closing ceremony. The event is part of a series around the country and Teignbridge District Council chairman David Weekes will be raising the flag for the district amid an afternoon of sporting fun at the resort.
Why does Joey Deacon always struggle with charity transparency and openness questions?
That's my point, I am looking forward to seeing what has changed since my last visit. I beleive that there are now some new apartments at the end of Dawlish Front, changes at the Warren and lots of work at Teighmouth. It's always interesting to see change.
Control-Defence, my reply was to Dullish who for some reason thinks I am Joey Deacon. I feel that your course is value for money. Good Luck.
Well, I think you've had long enough to think up an answer Dullish Roy. So come along then, who would you replace Y-R with? That's a perfectly simple quesion, I fail to understand why you are avoiding it and why you'd rather throw around personal insults against a fellow member of our forum.
I ma surprised that nobody takes exception to Teignbridge council collecting money and issuing parking tickets when the area is not legally marked. I am not a lawyer but could that be called 'Taking money under false pretences' or some other legal phrase. Perhaps someone out there knows of one.
I am looking for a kitten for a friends birthday.... would like to be able to have it by the end of the month at the lastest... anyone with any information or knowes anyone who has some for sale. please message me on here... many thanks Charlotte
Dawlish Town went out of the FA Cup last night after being beaten 3-2 at Wimborne Town. The hosts scored what proved to be the winner in the third minute of extra-time. The night had started so well for Dawlish, who took a 15th minute lead via a superb header from Derek Fields. But the hosts were level by half-time and, within five minutes of the restart, had taken the lead. The visitors ...
Mental hospital patient Sticky O'Rourke has apologised for "frightening people" when he escaped from Langdon Hospital in Dawlish last week. O'Rourke, 35, who is also known as Terry Powell, told the Echo that he would never hurt anybody and knew it had been wrong to flee the secure unit to visit the graves of his loved ones. Concerns have been raised about how easy it was to escape from Langdon ...
SEASIDE areas across the Westcountry will have to abandoned within two or three generations because the cost of protecting them from coastal erosion is too high, the new chief of the Environment Agency has warned. The sea will reclaim vast stretches of the UK's coastline, with some vulnerable sections of the coast in this region evacuated and left to the mercy of the sea, according to Lord Smith ...
I'm really surprised that more people don't use the local, regional and indeed national train services and would be extremely disappointed if this paricular service was cut in the way that the letter writer suggests. The last time I had the need to travel by train (when I went to the Eden Project), because there were 3 of us it only cost us £8 each Return. It would have me cost more there and ...

How bizarre! See you tomorrow kids, I've got places to go and people to see. Play nicely whilst I'm gone. Oh, and if anyone has any news, please feel free to share it. Or any straightforward questions...
I really wish that I had been down last week. I have been in Dawlish for Carnival Week a number of years ago and the weather was glorious, that raft race was excellent and the activities of the week were a joy to see. Perhaps I will be able top make it next year with them as I know they would enjoy it.
I know what you mean they are such a nuisance. Mind you I suppose most towns and cities have their share of the young boy racers. We are lucky as we have our fair share of nice parts to the town and we must not forget that we live next to the sea, something most people only ever dream of.
Finished 0-0 yesterday, a tough replay in prospect at Wimborne on Tuesday night at 7.45pm. Well done to the Wimborne keeper for two fantastic penalty saves to keep his team in the biggest Cup competition in the world. The winners of Tuesday's game earn £750 prize money and a trip to Western League First division side Odd Down.
I'd also heartily recommend Rod & Bens Organic Vegetable Box Scheme. They're based at Bickham Farm, Kenn and can be telephoned on 01392 833833. For truly local organic food, you could also try paying a visit to K Partridge at Duckaller Farm on Port Road on the edge of Dawlish - or phone them on 863132.
I completely agree with the original poster on this thread - what a fantastic week that was! A fitting tribute to 40 years of effort by so many hard working people. You are all heroes and you all deserve a well-earned rest. For a short while at least!
Your response typical of chicken deacon (rip). Have you counted up your admin monies yet?
Assumptions again.... Ditto can be said of Chicken Shed etc.... As regards answering questions, isn't it time you gave it a go? Now where were we? Oh yes, those questions regarding certain Councillors and corruption? Care to enlighten us?
Paddington Bear is celebrating his 50th year in England with a grand tour of the South West's top seaside spots — including Torquay and Paignton. The famous bear from darkest Peru made an appearance at Dawlish Airshow this week before continuing on his West Country tour which will finish with appearances in Torquay and Paignton on Friday, August 22. The bear, who always keeps marmalade ...
looks like chicken shed/joey deacon will do anything to remain lodged up the backsides of mayor and councillors. even if it means defending them to the detriment of dawlish
You do not have to look to far for annonimity. Have you ever read minutes of the Town council and seen who voted for, against or abstained, cus eye aven't. We need more transparency agreed; but don't come here demanding it before you sort it out in other places of IMPORTANCE.
And it is up to the individual as to whether or not to accept the increase, THEIR CHOICE, FREEDOM of CHOICE, call it what you will. Everything will remain overpriced as long as muppets are prepared to pay the asking price. Follow me! I will show you how to get the prices down.
What abusive, pointless postings are you refering too? Can't be anything to do with Rotary or the Council or councillors or the Mayor or the carnival committee or trying to expose the corruption that is rife, etc, etc, etc.
My friend has a flat to let, two bedrooms, top floor, sea view, reasonable rent, brookdale terrace. Don't want to give her personal details out on here but I think she may have put it with Devon Rose.
pointless but money grabbing greed greed greed
lets put them all in dawlish's new drug/youth centre
Brilliant show , yet again, excellent flying skills. Well done to those involved in the organising of the event. Look forward to next years.
cloudi cool, why the hell did she do shit carnival contest? she is way above that bollocks. wouldnt attend anything that has chicken shed/joey deacon in audience. anything to do with carnival sucks of mainstream dullness.
Visitors to seaside resorts have been put on alert after potentially-deadly Portuguese Man o' War jellyfish were washed up on Devon beaches. The creatures were found on beaches at Smuggler's Cove, Dawlish, and Salcombe Regis, near Sidmouth. Marine experts have warned beach lovers not to pick up the jellyfish, which can inflict severe stings from their lengthy tentacles. A seven-year-old boy ...
