Where are we going to get rid of our rubbish when the tip at Shutterton closes in February?

The nearest rubbish and recycle centre is Brunel Road, Newton Abbot. Alternatively you can dump it anywhere at night since the CCTV cameras don't work the last I heard.

Why is the Tip closing in February? I hadn't heard anything. Is it costs?

I hadn't heard about the tip closing either. Suppose it is down to the cuts. I always go to Brunel Road as there are more recycling facilties there & anyway Shutterton is only open very limited hours.

I see in the Dawlish Gazette today Devon County Council cannot rule out the posibility of the tip at shutterton being closed in the New Year. When i spoke to someone from Teignbridge Council a few weeks ago i was told "They had no knowledge of the tip closing, but it comes under Devon County Council"
