Probably a Perigrine Falcon. They have been around, but 'dissapeared' a couple of years ago, but hopefully they may be back. A beautifull bird to watch.

Our esteemed Town Clerk J Winchester made that statement in the Express & Echo 18th April. My question is if so many Black Swans have been lost Quote "Slaughterd By Dogs" why did they this year SELL FIVE? I am sure a lot of residents would like the answer to that question.
What is a nice way to die? Being bottled by a drunk? - er no thanks
Thousands of pounds are set to be spent on providing a new play area for children in a Devon town.Youngsters will be able to use a ball court, swings, youth centre and other fun facilities in Dawlish. There will even be a graffiti wall so teenagers can display their alternative artwork in an appropriate place. The park, on the junction of Churchill Avenue, will be near to Westcliff Primary ...
A famed tourist attraction in a Devon resort has been dealt a new blow.In the wake of recent reports that Dawlish's black swans had been decimated by predators, it has now been revealed that the annual display of chicks at the Dawlish Brook waterfowl enclosure has been cancelled. The black swans are under threat after more than a dozen died in the last 18 months. There are now just eight left to ...
More than 12 of Dawlish's famous black swans have died in the past 18 months and town clerk John Winchester believes dogs are to blame. The swans, which originate from Australia, are the resort's emblem and live with many species of geese and ducks on the brook that runs through the town. Bemoaning the death toll, Mr Winchester said: "There are no witnesses, but vets tell us their injuries are ...
Wow everybody's getting quite heated here! One simple question about parking and off you all go about who knows what?! Why can't you all just get on with eachother? Or have a forum dedicated to bitching at eachother?! But yes parking is expensive, but is not the fault of the NHS, it's the council! And as unfair as it is they gotta get money from somewhere. Although yes, it would be nice if it was ...
Hello! Nice to see a forum where people aren't moaning about Dawlish! Personally I love the place and it looks so gorgeous in the sun! :)
Did you lose your iPod on Tuesday 17th April? So it can be returned to its rightful owner, you'll need to respond with it's type, memory size, colour and your first name.
Dont get me wrong i myself have a dog but wouldn't dream of taking it to the beach in the summer there are plenty of other places to take the dogs ie the lane that runs along gatehouse school, golf course, and plenty of other places.Im moaning about people that leave their dog to shit everywhere and not clean it up.I always clean up after myself & kids but having shit on my shoes from the beach so ...
Did you lose your iPod yesterday, Tuesday 17th April? If so, go to the Discussion pages to find out how to get it back.
And there is also a face full of smoke at the pleasant thrown in for free.
You seem to spend a lot of time on it yourself IDIOT and by the way what is the following supposed to mean "you can do no not join" makes as much sense as your pathetic comments.
I come to Dawlish and the warren every couple of months to visit family and we take our holidays here because we like the area so much. We were really disappointed that the beaches were covered with litter and rubbish over Easter. It's something the council needs to deal with and quickly. If the beaches are poor, the tourists won't come and whether you like grockles or not, without them spending ...
you are all idiots stay on the subject at hand
I am looking for a 3 bedroomed house in/around Dawlish. Responsible, reliable tenant (ref's available from local estate agent) - deposit in hand. Special requirements : Min. 3 Bedrooms, effective central heating and a garden, shower would be preferable. Don't mind minor DIY. Please call Andrea on 888589
I use to go there regullary , but the past 2 sat there has been big fights and people bottleing each other i think its ashame as it's geting a bad name. If the other pubs were to open later there wouldn't be this problem as people wouldn't worry about going up there just because it has a late licence(sp).
I was expecting something SPECTACULAR ... what a waste of time!
to all you tourists out there if youwalk past the strand there is a whole different dawlish out there all you have to do is move those feet and you will finda quaint lovely parts of dawlish never seen by tourists beforejust wander past cost cutters and you will be in a whole different world
Hi, I am a 22 years old student from Slowakia (with intermediate english) and I´am going to spend my summer in Dawlish. I am looking for some job there (cleaning, waiting, baby-sitting,etc.)If you can help me with this please contact me on EVKABALGOVA@zoznam.sk. Thank´s Eva.
The Commission was not very happy about what it uncovered – or failed to uncover because of the sloppy manner in which the council had gone about spending £80,000 of taxpayers money on CCTV. The Dawlish town council are very sloppy in many areas. Transparency does not apply to them, the standards set by the council are not applicable to them and there is a very real need to change the way in ...
Today's wonderful images of the Exe estuary at Topsham, Dawlish Warren, Holcombe, Shaldon Ness, and Exmouth's Orcombe Point, wind up our special Devon beaches from the air series. The Exe estuary is a magnificent area enjoyed by a huge variety of visitors and local people, as well as wildlife. It provides a valuable setting for activities such as walking, boating, fishing and bird-watching. ...

thanks for the tip off!, i will give salamis a miss then.
Now that the nominations for the Dawlish Town Council have been published, it looks as if poor old Dawlish will get more of the same. With 16 seats up for grabs and only 17 nominees, that means there will only be one minor skirmish in the North East Ward where there are 4 seats up for grabs with 5 candidates going head to head. All the rest will get in unaposed. Maybe, just maybe, Tom Bush will ...
Hello Although First Great Western confirmed it to me earlier can anybody tell me where the landslide occurred on the train track between Dawlish and Teignmouth?
You may not know this but dawlish taxis are not regulated very well
the theate may be a good thing for the youngsters who are interested, but I feel there are far more skateboarders who deserve a park which would allow them to improve their skills. This town council patted themselves on the back by donating £500 for a temporary site and allows them to use it once a month, how pathetic and two faced is that
Any thoughts on the new allotment site (Brown's Brook) and it's facilities? Should the council have wasted tax payers money on a leased site for a term of five years (One year gone already) or should they have sought another site which they could purchase using a tiny fraction of the money raised from the sale of the Leonard Lamb. By the time all the bills are paid for CCTV (close now to ...
They were here before you ! .. they probably hate you. so get your bags packed and get yourself to peaceful London. Seagulls never came in land until people started eating food in the street. If I was a seagull rather than sit out at sea like they used to, I would wait too for the next Shearing coach and expect an ice cream cornet end lol. Will all the people who hate Dawlish so much move ...
The theme has not just been annouced, but I'm sure it will be in the paper as soon as the Committee are ready to annouce the theme for this year.

Just because you live in Dawlish doesn't mean you have to work there too.... it's called COMMUTING. You can do this via train, bus or car. With property prices always increasing it's hard to be a first time buyer in Dawlish but if you are lucky enough to be able to afford a mortgage you will get a sizeable profit when you go to move. You can work in Exeter for any number of national companies all ...
