Where I live, we don't slaughter animals with Foot and Mouth, we give them the right medicine and nurse them back to health. UK is positively mediaeval.
Will some business sponsor a local webcam? They get the free online advertising.

Motorists were stuck in tailbacks on the M5 for most of the day, with further misery caused by an overturned lorry on the popular stretch to Devon and Cornwall. Ten mile queues built up on several adjoining roads as frustrated holidaymakers ...

Some people liked it and many others didn't. What was it all about, was there a theme to it? There were many law breaking activities that were ignored and others that weren't. Luck of the draw I guess.
If you remember our town council wasted £80,000 + on CCTV that doesnt work at night and can't see all of the lawn because of leaves on the trees, they should have spent the money on the skateboarding for the youngsters, instead they spent £500 on a temporary ramp which they can only use once a month and they thought what a wonderful thing they had done for the Kids, PATHETIC. Why not bombard the ...
Police have cancelled an £80 fine issued to a man in April for using a swastika on a leaflet. Keith Sharp, 68, from Dawlish, Devon, had been given the fixed penalty notice after putting 4,000 leaflets through doors complaining about a local increase in CCTV cameras. If you are so ignorant of the facts, why not ask Devon County Council, if you can have a copy of the results. If they will not give them to you, or generally make them available to the public, then there will be an air of suspicion surrounding the installation of the blow pipe's. In case you did not know, they work by a puff of air operating the mechanism in the box at one end of the tubing, when ...
We were watching the metier shower in the garden tonight when we heard gunshots and the sound of hounds (this is nothing new we live quite close to Holcombe). The dog howls and barks stopped. About 5 minutes later they were replaced with loud screams from more then one person every time the gun went off. There were people shouting ‘run’. There was also the sound of some people jeering. The Fair pays money to Teignbridge Council for the use of the Lawn - it would be interesting to know how much goes back into the repair of the Lawn or even if any of it comes back to Dawlish at all. It really annoys me that if you want to hold a charitable event on the Lawn there are loads of conditions to be met, including no burger vans etc yet a commercial venture like the fair can do what they ...
