Can't we have Lidl or Aldi instead of Sainsbury or Tesco?

Good idea price wise! Also it will fit in perfectly with the rest of the tacky, down market Warren.

Why not these supermarkets are having an upturn in trade as they offer good value good produce, only difference is they havent got perfectly stacked shelves and charge for carrier bags.

HERE HERE! I would welcome Lidl and Aldi not only for the previous sentiment.....but also for the pleasure of seeing the panic on our local councillors faces when they realise the brown envelopes from Tesco and Sainsbury's may be in jeopardy.

And how do you know they wouldn't get any brown envelopes from Lidl or Aldi?

Those who don't want Lidl or Aldi are shortsighted big supermarket share holders or there is some sort of sad snobbery in them.
Lidl's pays its staff more than Tesco's or Sainbsury's just not so glamorous, also sell more locally produced greengrocery

Apparently it doesn't do the ' street cred' any good to be seen in these two shops.
My reply is - lead me to the them, if I can get it cheaper I don't care what it's called.

You can be sure the area does not meet with Waitrose, so no fear of them arriving.

I thought Waitrose had their sights on Teigmouth.
