I don't think that the cost of parking in Dawlish helps. I realise that you can park in the Co-op for free, but anyone wanting to wander around the town looking at shops or having a coffee has to pay high parking charges. Whatever these politicians come out with, they always seem to manage to put their foot in it. I seem to remember that they pay thousands of pounds to advisors and consultants and still they can't get it right.

Network Rail has invested more than £8.5m over the last 10 years to protect the railway line along the Dawlish and Teignmouth coast line. As I've mentioned the government's Localism Bill on other threads recently thought I'd just bring to your attention that our MP, Anne-Marie Morris, has also written about it in this week's Dawlish Gazette. (see page 8 "Power To The People".) Also at tomorrow's (Friday 28th) open day at the Manor House officers from Teignbridge Council will be available to talk about it. Manor House open 11am-8pm.
