Local house building - local labour force?

As the building site at the top of Carhaix Way is now coming along apace I just wondered if the house building company intends employing, or subbing out to, our local workforce. Electricians, brickies, plasterers, carpenters, you know, those sort of trades that are involved one way or the other in building a house or, as in this case, some 124 of 'em.

I'm not saying this isn't happening, just asking if it is.

Anyone know?

Did you get a reply from them?

Not yet. Whatever I get back I'll post and if I don't get anything back I'll post the fact that I haven't had anything back, in which case I might also write a letter to local paper (just for a change!) about not having a response and local labour being used etc etc.

But I'll give them a few days or so yet before I decide what to do.

In the meantime..........if any of you reading this know of tradespeople needing work then why don't you suggest to them that they contact Strongvox direct.

Just had this back from Strongvox:

"All of the labour that will be used at Swan's Rise will be of a sub-contract supply and fix or labour only nature.

The best route to persue would be to visit the site office and make an enquiry their.

For you information all sub-contract orders are not yet placed."
