Two schools are celebrating after being crowned as the best of their kind in the Westcountry. Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg named Dawlish Community College as the best secondary school in the region and Widey Court Primary School in Plymouth as the best primary school. FredBassett you are correct and the reason was that they had to show the time they arrived ie on double yellows or at a pay and display bay.  I have been visiting Ilfracombe today and there disabled badge holders are time limited in the pay and display around the town centre but have unlimited time in the main car parks. Devon county needs to look at the problem and act accordingly.

If you get a parking ticket, it's ALWAYS worth asking the police/council to provide a copy of it-they have to provide it! If the police haven't retained a copy they should request it from the local council who have made it - if they can't give you a copy they can't enforce it! The Transport Secretary is due to visit South Devon today. Patrick McLoughlin will have a chance to see the coastal railway line at Dawlish and discuss possible investment. You all need to read a lot more of what this is all about, its nothing to do with HB , some social tenants are downsizing into private lets and they then qualify for full HB at a price as the rent is higher than what their social house was. The main profiteers from taxpayers money is investors in buy to let property,( several MPs and Gov Ministers own such properties) with no rent assesors around ...
