Well said goldenlad I could not agree with you more.
It's nice to relax, and spend time with the the kids.
It would have been a fur hat parade this year I'm afraid.
Assurances by Prime Minister David Cameron that the vulnerable railway line at Dawlish will get investment to ensure it is protected in the future. MP Anne Marie Morris told Mr Cameron that traveller numbers on the coastal railway are growing fast and is also important to local tourism. Urgent investment plans are in hand to repair recent flood damage and to create a long-term sustainable ...
A week ago I would have agreed and I still think they're great. However, on Tuesday we had a known cardiac patient in difficulties and it took 40 very worrying minutes! Have to give a black mark there I'm afraid.
Part of the cliff at Ness Cove collapsed and blocked a pedestrian tunnel leaving the women, one of whom is pregnant woman, unable to leave. Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service told BBC News the two women, who had a dog with them, were not thought to be injured. Coastguards were alerted to the incident at about 11:00 GMT. Teignmouth inshore lifeboat and Devon and Cornwall Police were ...
I was walking back from the library down the Strand, there were the usual cars parked along there. A huge beer truck came down to make a delivery but the driver had no choice but to double park. The Devon Council forman had to direct the traffic ONTO THE NEW PAVEMENT for vehicles to get by this truck. So i would think when all this is done there will be no parking on the Strand.
Add to the the mistakes so far the other carrier when built will be moth balled immediately and also there are only a few ports that can take either vessel. Total Bloody Class
The lead story in this week's Newton Abbot Mid-Devon Advertiser concerns a Mr & Mrs Haden who are social housing tenants in Buckland. Unfortunately, they have fallen foul of the Bedroom Tax and the article explains the difficulties they have had/are having with finding alternative, affordable, secure accommodation. The article concludes by saying "Mrs Haden is keen to hear from others worried ...

Heavy rain in Devon overnight caused a 15m (49ft) long section of wall to collapse on to a main road in Dawlish. Devon County Council said it happened on the A379 at the bottom of Teignmouth Hill. Highways crews are at the scene investigating the damage. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-21910061
@Brazilnut Thank you thats exactly the situation my view is aimed at avoiding this proposed estate in twenty years time will be just what you describe. In the 50s councils in the outlying towns of the big cities built the same sort of estates that Barratts are proposing they became no go areas with the decent families moving out leaving the scum to create a mob rule culture. Eventually in the ...
Dawlish Leisure Centre is set to rock to the sounds of swing when one of the South West's biggest bands comes to town. The Teignbridge District Council-owned leisure centre is putting on a charity concert featuring AJ Big Band on Saturday 6 April from 7.30pm. The event – the first of its kind for the leisure centre in eight years – will help raise money for Devon Air Ambulance Trust and it ...

The Dawlish to teignmouth Road just past Smugglers is like a huge swimming pool, if you risk it take care or go up over the top which is at present clear
This guy (Mr Simon Renshaw-Smith) is also one of the Senior members of the British Parking Association, his salary is £700.000 per year.
A SERIES of Flood Alerts was issued across South Devon on Thursday afternoon. The Environment Agency say flooding is possible for the Totnes, Ashburton, Buckfastleigh, Dartmouth and Torbay areas on Thursday and Friday. As the goverment have now cleared the way for the construction of Hincley C power station, could someone justify why EDF energy a French owned company are being allowed to construct and operate the site. Do British companies not have the skills and technical knowledge to build and operate this plant. Unless the site and the power it generates is 100% British owned and under national control ...
We are trying to make people aware that Teignbridge District Council has put the Pirates Chest up for tender in a way that seems very under-handed to Bob. Many of you know he has been there for over 30years and is much loved by all. Please read the copy of the email sent to Nicola Bulbeck " Cheif Executive",email addy:- Nicola.Bulbeck@teignbridge.gov.uk , John Cocker "Director", ...
Well all I did was speak my mind! I notice that the train station is currently being repainted, another thing to be greatful for. The town will look lovely by the summer.
the option for the user to reverse direction would be most helpful. thanks. the other issue reflects that it says on the ma in discussion page that someone has posted, but when you actually click on the topic, there is nothing new there. thanks for your response to my questions.

Well that sums it up doesn't it? He's a throughly horrible individual and typical of the ministers today in parliament irrespective of their party. The main 3 parties all have their own hypocrites and the country needs a new type of politician and party that has some conviction and moral standing.
Hope the moron gets thrown out again and preferably put on a sinking boat back to Gurnsey where he can crawl back under his stone for another ten years
We are running a Easter Competition for details please see our facebook page!
