This week our Guest Speakers are Shirley & Gerry Camborne-Paynter from Torpoint. They are a very spiritual and dedicated couple and always give us a lovely Service with inspired words from Shirley. As usual we have a good half hour of Clairvoyance which is always uplifting and motivating. Our Service commences at 6.30 pm. and although we are a Christian organisation, we welcome all.
Just had a look at it and it really is top notch quality. Someone better tell those Network Rail engineers though, they were just walking along the track and you could almost pick up what they were saying! Thanks for installing it.
Teignbridge's top-performing waste collection service could soon get even better for residents as the Council seeks to introduce weekly food waste and recycling collections. Teignbridge District Council is exploring options around overhauling its waste service, giving residents more for their money while improving recycling figures. Teignbridge's fleet of bin lorries are ageing and are costing ...

That would be too simple, it would also go along way to solving unemployment

@stephen15 - yes very much agree, (and no train person really wants to start hoping off and on buses). the bus point is really that normally people expect at least a 50% time advantage by taking the train. also i think lots of people on the train, me included, look forward to the exeter to na stretch as a big relief from the tedium of all the hours getting to cornwall, i.e. the perception of ...

Read your discussions on this issue with great interest! I don`t know if many of you remember when the first phase of Meadow park was built there was i believe an undertaking from Mr stone that he would contribute to an access road. he subsequently declined to honour this agreement and therefore has been in conflict with TDC ever since. if you look back over many years Mr stone retained several ...

Did anyone else register the irony that one of the options being considered by NR, the Teign Valley route, became impassable a few days ago because storms had washed the ballast away from the railway track. It's presently a single track and a train uses it once a week apparently to collect timber. See page 5 of this week's Gazette for picture and more info.

from Hansard, debate in Westminster Hall this morning "The Dawlish station footfall, believe it or not, is 480,564 people per year. That is the 2012 figure, the most recent I could find. Over the past 10 years, the footfall through Dawlish has risen by 81%. The footfall for Teignmouth is 566,528 individuals a year—again, that is the 2012 figure—and that has seen growth of 98%. If we add the ...

Wondering, you were doing so well until your last sentence.
If there new houses the windows wont be big enough to let much light in anyway. Wooden shacks dont have big windows as they let the heat out, and the developers have to consider thermal efficiency etc. Cant understand why anyone would waste money buying one may as well buy a mobile home on the Warren.
This is a terrible electioneering disaster designed to benefit the rich. It should be illegal for governments to use tax payers money in this way.

Just been watching the local BBC news. Seems the cost to the local economy will be even greater now than at first thought given that the bad weather has lengthened the time before the Dawlish rail line will be operating again. Thought I'd post this about the estimated cost in terms of loss to the local economy. This is from the BBC's website dated 6-2-14: (my emphasis in bold) "Devon and Cornwall ...
