One appliance from Dawlish and one from Teignmouth were mobilised to a report of a three vehicle road traffic collision at the above location. Two people were believed to be trapped within the vehicles.
On their arrival crews met the Ambulance Service who were in attendance and treating the casualties, one of whom was medically trapped in a vehicle. Crews went to work to remove the roof of this vehicle at the request of the Ambulance Service. The Air Ambulance was also requested.
Fire Service Crews removed the roof of the vehicle using Hydraulic Rescue Equipment and assisted the Ambulance Service to extricate the casualty from the vehicle and transport him to the Air Ambulance.
One male casualty was transported to hospital by Air Ambulance and one female casualty was treated on scene for an injured ankle. Two adults were also treated on scene for shock.
Crews made the vehicles and scene safe.
