Think we need to read between the lines on this one. I reckon that the net effect will be to make it harder for people from outside the area to move into social housing in the area which has always been the problem with Home Choice Schemes.

Was the rubbish coming from the cafe? If so they need their own commercial bins - not included in business rates.

Why not reduce the size of Parliament ie get rid of the Scottish Welsh and Irish M.P's and have an English government only. Bring back all the Army Navy and RAF bases to England so creating jobs and cancel all Defence contracts with these countries. Job Done.

Why does'nt Teignbridge just tell us how it is with their usual politeness BOG OFF!

There is an article on page 2 in this week's Dawlish Gazette about this. The article says that since January of this year the CAB (Citizen Advice Bureau) workers have been inundated with enquiries at the weekly sessions held at the Manor House. The paper reports that "rising debt is considered to be a major problem in Dawlish" and that "Debt inquiries have continued to rise accounting for 68% ...

They are re-tiling the pool and upgrading the filtration along with other things.  I understand it is opening again Monday 9 September.  A number of the clubs are re-locating to the Lido during this period. Popped down to Duck Aller Farm today to buy some of their really tasty pork burgers and pork sausages (they do different flavours of pork sausage) and in passing I was told they had won first prize at this year's Devon County Show. I had no idea that they had done that and in case you didn't know either here's some info. http://www.duckallerfarm.co.uk/

It does look very nice & is doing the job it's supposed to. Wood is usually treated nowadays before it's sold so I'm assuming this is the case here. At least they got on with repairing it unlike Stonelands Bridge which is still missing a parapet on one side.

Weather is looking good for Saturday. Lets hope for a good turnout and show support for our veterans. They set of from the Manor at 11 and shoud be down the Strand about 1110. Come on Dawlish, show your support.
