Think we need to read between the lines on this one. I reckon that the net effect will be to make it harder for people from outside the area to move into social housing in the area which has always been the problem with Home Choice Schemes.

Pram race and procession to go ahead as planned. OFFICIAL.
Yep. Not everyone has the D.Post delivered so therefore, I guess, they won't have had the Town Crier delivered.
Will people ever learn ? It happens all the time . So much for animal lovers .
There's a services section, why not use that? https://www.dawlish.com/group?grouptypeid=3
Errol225 you might want to take a quick look at the date on the posting you replied to
I see the old non working lights linked between the stench pipes above the viaduct have been removed, I am assuming they are not going to be repaired. Anybody know what the plan is? Or are we still held slave to the conservation officer?
Did you enclose a donation to the chief constables christmas party with your CV and make it clear that you enjoy publically funded helicopter travel. Perhaps you also need to explain how you support the driving around aimlessly in high powered BMWs rather than having bobbies on the beat.
Rosemary, it might also be worth putting a message on Eye of Dawlish if you are on Facebook.
Was the rubbish coming from the cafe? If so they need their own commercial bins - not included in business rates.
It's so sad that this sort of thing still happen's.
FredBassett, the following is one of many, and the first one that they have offered to reimburse, all the others they have kept the money. Devon County Council estimates it collected around £6,000 in unlawful fines in Crediton's Market Street. In another twist to the saga, this week it was forced to change the terms of its refund Here is the most recent: Teignmouth Refunds will be issued for ...

This coming Sunday, 14th July, we have a Medium from Plymouth who has not served this Church before. Her name is Julie Harper and it would be lovely if lots of people came along to welcome her as well as benefitting from the ambiance of the Church. The Service commences at 6.30 p.m. and is a light and happy affair with uplifting hymns, and also about half an hour of clairvoyance towards the ...
Tomorrow evening, Friday, 12th July, at 7.30 p.m. Don't miss Peter's expert Mediumship at Dawlish Christian Spiritualist Church in Albert Street, Dawlish. Tea, coffee and biscuits are included in the £2.50 entry fee. Please come in good time, it would be a shame to miss this opportunity of irrefutable evidence from the World of Spirit of life beyond life.
That will be a waste of time as people will still cross the road. Putting up signs does not work because we are a nanny state and peoples common sense has since long gone.
Just found this short film - http://vimeo.com/69325515 which is mostly filmed in Plymouth. If you own a video camera why not make a film based in or about Dawlish.
Never say never. The squeaky wheel gets the most oil as they say. I am pressing first re-investment in the "impact" part if the town.

Why not reduce the size of Parliament ie get rid of the Scottish Welsh and Irish M.P's and have an English government only. Bring back all the Army Navy and RAF bases to England so creating jobs and cancel all Defence contracts with these countries. Job Done.
This place is great . You have to go there . Give a go .

There was an interesting letter about housing need and housing development in the Dawlish Gazette a few weeks back. In case you missed it, here it is. "State funding not forthcoming for affordable housing Wednesday, 19 June 2013 Stephen Jope, of Elm Grove Road, Dawlish, writes: The key to providing adequate quantities of social housing is to provide adequate state funding for the ...
Why does'nt Teignbridge just tell us how it is with their usual politeness BOG OFF!
There is an article on page 2 in this week's Dawlish Gazette about this. The article says that since January of this year the CAB (Citizen Advice Bureau) workers have been inundated with enquiries at the weekly sessions held at the Manor House. The paper reports that "rising debt is considered to be a major problem in Dawlish" and that "Debt inquiries have continued to rise accounting for 68% ...
Apparently it's scheduled to get two waterings a week for the next 6-8 weeks. I don't pass often enough to know if that's happening but if not call the Teignbridge Open Spaces number on 215851.
Hi thanks Lynne, yes we are doing cheeses. We are starting with around 20 cheeses 8 of which are from Devon or the South West. We will be developing this range when we get an idea of the taste buds of Dawlish. Come and see us on Saturday the 6th we have our expert on hand to give out tasters and talk cheese.
Residents and visitors to Dawlish are benefiting from a new footbridge built by a team of engineers, designers and surveyors from Teignbridge District Council. The new 10-metre timber bridge, which passes over Dawlish Water to link to Manor Gardens, replaces a dilapidated and unsafe bridge which was closed 12 months ago because rotting timbers and corroded steel beam supports meant it was too ...
Just sent an email to the company asking them to tell their driver not to do it , lets see what happens now.
They are re-tiling the pool and upgrading the filtration along with other things. I understand it is opening again Monday 9 September. A number of the clubs are re-locating to the Lido during this period. More information can be found on the DLC Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/DawlishLeisureCentre?ref=ts&fref=ts
Popped down to Duck Aller Farm today to buy some of their really tasty pork burgers and pork sausages (they do different flavours of pork sausage) and in passing I was told they had won first prize at this year's Devon County Show. I had no idea that they had done that and in case you didn't know either here's some info. http://www.duckallerfarm.co.uk/
It does look very nice & is doing the job it's supposed to. Wood is usually treated nowadays before it's sold so I'm assuming this is the case here. At least they got on with repairing it unlike Stonelands Bridge which is still missing a parapet on one side.
Weather is looking good for Saturday. Lets hope for a good turnout and show support for our veterans. They set of from the Manor at 11 and shoud be down the Strand about 1110. Come on Dawlish, show your support.
