Yes I had an email this afternoon about this.  There'll be some unhappy parents who have had to make other arrangements.

Leisure Centre is on strike if anyone was fancying a swim.  Leaving it until this morning to let people know probably wasn't the best PR.  They need a manager with a bit more dynamism, a bit less-Brittas.

Interesting about the leisure centre I understood the staff were employed by a private company, this must be incorrect, can someone clarify please.

It would be a brave move for any school to go on strike nowadays, does anyone know of a school that didn't open ?

Was that a case of public money being spent to bail out the private sector?

Devon County Council Staff (and no it wasn't Central Govt) decided to cut some of my staffs' wages by 75% (yes...really) and then have the audacity to strike over a 1% pay rise!

Get real muppets....we're all suffering for the benefit of the UK thanks to outside agencies!
