The minor injuries unit (MIU) is temporarily being relocated in June as essential maintenance work will be carried out to repair the hospital's roof.

Work will be carried out from June 9-July7.

 

Phase two, from June 30- August 11, will see the hospital's 18-bed inpatient ward temporarily relocated.

How old is the hospital?   Am intrigued to understand whether it was design, materials, workmanship or act of god that caused the roof to fail.  My mother's 60 year old roof is still watertight without any work ever done to it.  Sign of the times?
