Message to, and for, young people (say, those under age 30)

I know I've said what I'm about to say before but I'll say it again given as how UKIP are so setting the agenda on certain political issues.. Actually, I'll correct that statement. It is the electorate, via UKIP, who are making the other political parties sit up and take notice. And the reason those parties are sitting up and taking notice is because they want those UKIP votes switching back to them come the general election of next May.

So, dear young people, please will you also exert your electoral clout and let those political parties know that you too have votes. They won't woo you electorally you see, unless they think there are votes to be had.

And perhaps those of us who are 30+ but who have children and grandchildren could pass that message on to the younger members of our families?

I'm not sure why the media are talking about UKIP so much, it's not as if they "won" the elections. Labour won more seats than Tories, LibDems, UKIP and Greens combined.

They're a single issue party that have utterly failed to connect in a positive way except amongst the old aged bigots and the unintelligent chavs.

I'm sure they'll have done well in the Euro elections (oh the hypocrisy!), but they will never be a force in UK politics.
