Try a Bike Shop in Dawlish called Braking Wind (honest), they can probably give you lots of help/advice with bike hire/cycle paths etc. There is an enjoyable cycle ride from Powderham Church (Powderham castle & Estate), taking you along the River Exe and up to Turf Locks Hotel/Pub. Great fun! Avoid Dawlish Warren...besides nature reserve, there is nothing there; apart from too many people crammed ...

Funnily enough I rode my bike along Weech Road only last night and saw this derelict building and thought what a shame it was. Is this the one you are talking about? Who owns it?
Can anyone tell me what is happening to the Vicarage on weech Road. I am the grandson of Mr & Mrs Lane who for many years lived at the address. I have many fond memories of the place and would like to see it restored to its former glory and be included in the rich history of Dawlish. Please reply to the forum.

Viaduct never refers to the good of anything. However, of course deterrents work and we still need them.
Maybe you should look at Shoregold or Theissen Mining. Both companies are involved in a diamond mining exploration project at the Fort Al a Corne diamond mine about one hour from here.....here being Saskatchwan, Canada. Several million dollars have been invested so far and the word is that the mine looks ready to take off!

I wonder how much money they could get from the football club too? They must have access to grants, etc.
How to contact local councillors roughly translated. Contact councillor.... Listen to and accept their whitewash.... Retreat into this acceptance and never bother them again..... Treated with such arrogance and contempt, no wonder so many people are asking pertinent questions.
I have been a frequent visitor to the Dawlish "LIVE" forum, and have enjoyed many of the posts you enlightened people have to offer. However, it is now that the time is right that the truth be revealed. Dawlish NEEDS answers!! I have noticed that there has been much discussion regarding the councils' actions, and in connection to rumours linked to "brown envelopes" being passed from party to ...

CorruptCouncils.UK is one of many web sites which shows the endemic problems of corrupt local authorities rife throughout the UK. The whole system has become rotten to the core. Perhpas I could refer you to Erewash Borough Council on the web site: www.councilanddeveloper.net for an equally unbelievable but true story of corruption and cronyism. Particularly disturbing is the links from this web ...
yes i would be very interested in better rental store. personally i think klub video is too expensive
We went there last week and didn't get charged to park car. This week I walked and saw that the cars were getting charged. They didn't ask me for an entrance fee, I thought because I was on foot. If they had I wouldn't have gone in. They will learn the hard way. Starcross on Saturday mornings - no charge to park car. Dawlish Warren on Tuesday mornings no entrance fee if on foot. And both are much, ...
now they are saying they are moving from the manor! Is that widely known?
A main rail line was under threat after a section of a historic sea wall in Devon was torn out by storm waves, while some parts of the country had four fifths of an average month’s rainfall in one day. Train services on the Paddington to Penzance route were affected after part of the seawall, built between Teignmouth and Dawlish by Isambard Kingdom Brunel 150 years ago, was torn out. The rain led ...
More like put in front of the judge. How people so blatently get away with so much over such along amount of time in such a small town. Its just insane!
But they can certainly lick each others backsides!
Oh sh1t! I have just discovered adrenalin is full of it.
How many remember Protheroe senior and a couple of his side kicks, selling lottery tickets outside Lloyds bank. Highly illegal! He hasn't been there since it was pointed out to him, but gets others who do not know the law to do it for him. That will show you what a cream headed twister he really is.

On Radio 4's consumer program 'You and Yours' (01/07/2008), it was stated that some catering establishments (pubs/restaurants/takeaways) may be using a blend of Vegetable oil which includes GM modified Corn oil. According to Trading Standards, if this is the case, these establishments should be displaying this information on their menu's and on prominent signs. Keep your eyes peeled.
A Dawlish Town Council Planning Committee meeting will take place on Thursday 24th July at 7.00pm concerning the Tesco planning application. This meeting is open to the public and will take place in The Council Chamber, The Manor House.

And there is nothing wrong with shining the light on the real problems. Keeping people focused on danger saves lives.
Best advice for starters that I can give anyone. Take the scissors to their credit card. throw away their mobile phone. Stop eating junk food and grow your own, cook your own and then eat it, bootiful!
Hot or what? Obviously I think he's hot, just can't stop thinking about him ... now thats crazy ...

MP'S 'LATE' SURVEY REVEALS STORE CONCERNS 11:00 - 05 July 2008 A supermarket survey organised by Teignbridge's MP has returned its results - more than a week after Sainsbury's was given the go-ahead to build a new store in Dawlish.Richard Younger-Ross sent out a survey to 700 residents of ...
Dawlish presently has over 40 persons on its waiting list for allotments. The lease on the allotments it has, is due to run out in 2011. Dawlish needs more allotments. That it has a waiting list shows that there is already a need. Take a look at what was in today's (5.7.08) Express & Echo. NEW ALLOTMENTS ARE ENABLE VILLAGERS TO GROWN BY CAROLINE ABBOTT 11:40 - 05 July 2008 Green-fingered villagers ...
Don't worry about it Doreen....they only attack you as they have something to hide. When people try to hide, or expose the truth, things can get a little heated. They have threatened me and others on numerous occasions, some of those threats involving internet address claims. If this is the case, then this is illegal and hacking in to computers carries a long prison sentence. The likes of Joey ...
The fruit in there is minging.
Anyone is free to buy some buses and start a new bus service up ..just register it, you do have to comply with EU rules on type of vehicles.
I have to say that speeding motorists don't cause accidents. Inabilty to drive, Inattention, Drink and drugged up drivers, and those that do not have the ability to anticipate are the main culprits. If some people cannot manoever their vehicle when trying to park, what chance do I have when they are travelling at 30 MPH?
Is it Tesco's they want? Or Lady's Mile they want? What hold have either got over them?
At the meeting of the Development Control Committee on 23 June 2008 it was resolved that, subject to the completion of a Section 106 Agreement under the Town and Country Planning Act, 1990 conditional planning permission be granted for the proposed development. Following this resolution there are procedural requirements that the Council has to follow before planning permission can be granted. ...
Try asking TDC how much they save if Sainsbury's don't get their supermarket but Tesco's do. It relates to compensation due to the owners of a caravan park who won't pursue TDC for it if they can sell their land. Something is amiss and it stinks.
