new taxis firm
there is a new taxis firm that has started in dawlish i for one will not be using them again i thought i would give them a try and to my dissappointment i ordered a taxis one friday night to pick me and my daughter up from teignmouth to dawlish and was told that it would be there in 15 mins but 45 mins later we were still waiting in the rain and cold without a phone call to say they would be late which would of been the curtious thing to do i then had to ring my regular taxis firm who came stright away without any trouble i then rang the new firm and was told they was to busy to come and get us.they might offer a cheap service but i personally would rather pay the extra and know my taxis is going to turn up,
Sorry I haven't replied to CONCERNED before, but I have just been made aware of the comments made. It is now 27 April, more than 1 month after CONCERNED was upset and no-one else has complained so maybe we are doing something the Dawlish (and surrounds) public want, cheap, reliable, clean taxis/fares. I am called Mike McCabe CONCERNED, afraid to tell us all your name? Anonymous, CONCERNED and others "I don't want to tell my name" don't do it with me. Stand up and be counted or don't say anything.
Well, interestingly I have had a completely different experience!!!! Myself and three girlfriends wanted to have night out in Exeter and rang this firm as a recommendation from another friend....not only was my request handled by excellent customer service but the price was better than any other firm by at least £25.00 and that was return!!!!! Once we were picked up (and after requesting to stop at the cashpoint in Dawlish) we were dropped off with a promise to phone when we could be picked up. We planned a full evening with a meal and were phoned as promised to say they would be 30 mins and because our location had changed the driver offered to come and get us from a location 5 mins from our drop off. We were picked up and dropped home in three different addresses and treated to a safe drive home (I have been in some cabs in Dawilsh and on occasions been very worried about the speed and safety of the passsengers) I find the price hard to beat and only if Im absolutely pushed will I use another firm!! Thanks Marne Taxis for a truly refreshing service!!!!
Thank You Angel1. You have experienced the Service we try to offer and mostly do, but admittedly due to our fault, we have been less than perfect. Sorry to all who have experienced this, we are improving and will always give 100%. Our Fares are the cheapest in Dawlish, and surrounds and our vehicles are clean and modern, in fact, our brand new 8 Seater Eurobus comes into Service from Friday 15th May, and we promise that no wheels or doors will fall off our Taxis. And to harp back to the disgruntled lady and daughter from the previous entry, I'm surprised you didn't use 1 for 4 taxis, I believe you get a very good discount from Them. Thanks Angel1 and we are looking forward to taking you anywhere you wish.

firstly mr marne where have you got the idea that im a woman as in fact im a gentleman,also maybe if you looked on the backyard forum you will see im not the only one that has commented on your taxis firm conduct,and if your service is so good why have there been other comments and yes you might be the cheapest but thats dosnt count for nothing if the service is not good and as for my name it is mr roy highman
At least we now know how you will be treated by this firm if you have a complaint to make. Rather than an explanation and an apology you will just get abuse. What great customer service.
my partner and i have just used marne taxis to go to exeter airport,in my opinion the service we got was 2nd to none and the cheapest.shall definatly be using them again.
Well Mr Roy Highman, can't seem to see any other complaints. And I do believe you are a member of the Taxi fraternity in Dawlish who is hacked off as your little monopoly has been shattered and customers are getting much better value for their money. Don't use me again, everyone has that choice. You all have tried it all, Damaging my cars, stealing the signs off them, spreading rumours of my demise, not having taxed cars, overloading, (Don't worry, I will reply to your pathetic allegations.) As I have said before, MARNE TAXIS is here to stay. Get a life.
