Great news on the home page of this website, where it says that TDC is one of 6 finalists in the running for the award for the Best Achieving Council.

More positive news for this area, and their place in the final is obviously fully merited. :-)

They always pat themselves on the back. Funny how they are being investigated for maladministration. My understanding of maladministration is: To administer or manage inefficiently or dishonestly.

They are not patting themselves on the back - an independent third party is!

You hate good news don't you?

Can you please provide a link to a website that corroborates your serious allegation of "maldaministration".

My understanding of Viaduct: "to whinge and moan on a regular basis. Sun's out...oh it's too hot. Raining today...roll on summer!"
STOP MOANING VIADUCT - Roy has for once found something credible to spout off about.

And how will that spouting off from Roy, benefit us?

Roy

And how will that benefit us?

Same old Viaduct, always moaning, never contributing.

We council tax payers are already benefiting from having such a well-run council looking after us. That's why it's up for an award!

Come on Viaduct, where is your evidence of the "maladministration" that you claimed a couple of days ago? As usual, you make unfounded allegations but then back off once pressed to provide evidence. If there is evidence of "maladministration", I will support you to the hilt.

Jacky, I'm sorry but you'll find that his sort don't get off their arses. Not unless there's something in it for themselves.

There's a phrase about people who aren't happy unless they're moaning...

Roy, For a man who asked for a meet to receive proof and didnt have the bottle to turn up you do talk a lot of hog wash.
Just a couple of things for you to mull over,
a tribunal was set up against the town clerk as the previous water fowl warden was running a business as well as being fully employed by the council and he was the manager in charge, they found it to be true and said they would correct the problem, but he left.
CCTV they said they conducted a survey of Dawlsh residents, there are approximately 13,000 residents, they received the views of 1000, 200 of which were tourists out of that 1000 only 16 mentioned cctv, yet they went ahead and spent upwards of £80,000 and still rising on cameras that dont work at night and are only occasionally viewed in Newton Abbot.
It maybe old news but still relevant to the actions of our council.
Teignbridge District council continued to collect money from the parking machines even though they were informed that the bays were illegal, when asked by the BBC they said that they suspended enforcment but wont say when, but they continued to collect money, that is fraud

Typical of User4549, butting into other peoples conversations. Typical of a busybody with more time on their hands than they know what to do with. It's a pity that you and your kind aren't spending their dotage by being more constructive instead of being so destructive with their tedious negativity.

Water Fowl Warden.
What's your point? A tribunal was set up and the findings were published and dealt with. Sounds like an operation that learns it's lessons. Thumbs up from me for a job well done.

CCTV
See the other thread about the benefits that the police have confirmed that CCTV has brought to our businesses and citizens. Your news is not only old, but also out-of-date. You and your kind need to keep up with the times.

Parking Machines
Which parking machines, I'm sorry but I genuinely don't know this story that you refer to? Allegations of fraud are very serious however and if you can provide evidence of fraud then I will also back you to the hilt.

Roys spouting is often hogwash but this time he's talking sense. The council are up for an award by an independant body, not the council voting themselves for a reward. What's your problem VIADUCT? Moan, moan, moan moan, moan...that's all we get from you. Be positive, you're not in Government and dealt the nation the biggest debt ever seen in history! Move on and feel good for Dawlish for once you whingebag...

Roy,

Water Fowl Warden.
They promised it would not happen again and it did, I contacted a councillor who apologised and said it would be put right, and was it? they wont say. I have the tribunal report do you want to see it, if not from me then get a copy of it from the council offices. Let me know if you do not know where it is.

CCTV
I already posted that they were talking about Newton Abbot not Dawlish, and that not ONE crime has been detected in Dawlish, so try and keep up.

Parking Machines/Parking Bays
I have the evidence, that they were illegal from DCC and Teignbridge as they admitted to me in emails, it is now with the Ombudsman for investigation.

For you to accuse me being a busybody and destructive with tedious negativity, is quite usual for you, as for butting into other peoples conversations I thought this was an open forum or is it a exclusively a ROY forum, you continue to sit on your butt and do nothing you are excellent at that.

Well put 4549.
Perhaps Roy would like to make a comment on the achievement of getting the pavilion at Sandy Lane a Grade 2 listed building. Your councillors should have done that years ago. But no! they were prepared to let the bulldozers in and raise it to the ground.
Perhaps Roy would like to bring presure on his councillors, to now bring the building up to a decent state of repair.
Well done to those who brought it about.

P.S the Approach Golf at Sandy Lane, is being allowed to be run down, WHY?
At the begining of the tourist season when people are looking for sport to participate in, some bright spark has called for it's demise.
The green keepers have been told to stop work on the green's and the fairway's, so it will be rough all round.
