Oh I see, good idea then. Cheers Nelson.

It looks like the occupancy ratio is 2.2, which you would hope takes in consideration the disproportionate number of holiday and/or second homes in this district. I love the idea of people thinking of themselves as being statistical anarchists!!!
I think TDC provide this with excellent 'Trim Trail' around Decoy Park.
Glad people are finding out about the Devon card....i've never had a car and have saved a fortune. Last week I got a single advance online ticket from Exeter to Brighton for £6.95.. journey took 4 hrs 12 mins..wonder how much that would that cost by car, 200 miles. I have no idea.
if you shop in dawlish and park your car in the co-op car park, watch out for the £49.00 parking ticket, much safer at sainsburys you can take as much time as you need to do your shopping, good luck enjoy your stay and ther is a brilliant vineyard in bishopsteinton
hi everyone my first comment on dawlish eye, I have three dogs and I always pick up. In the winter I think you will see more dog poo around as the mornings and evenings are so dark when people walk their dogs and they don't make an effort to see where their dog has pooed, I think their must be a way of making dog poo illuminous so you can see it in the dark (ha ha). But if it is any consolation I ...
Why not consult Ian Birdsey of Blackboard Associates I think it was them that designed it, 5 Barton Villas

Police have issued an urgent appeal for help in tracing a man who may have information about alleged incidents of deception thefts. South Devon detectives want to speak to a man after two pensioners fell victim to a doorstep conman. Police are probing two incidents where a man convinced elderly people to part with their money and bank cards after spinning a story about not having any money and ...
I have a small group of starlings which gather in a bush in my garden. The only thing which seems to have done them harm is a sparrowhawk which has taken about 2 or 3 over the past few months.
Five Exmouth Harriers took part in the Dawlish Coasters’ organised ‘Oh my obelisk!’ race, writes Dev Eveleigh. The event follows a tough, hilly and off-road 11 mile course that takes runners up out of Dawlish to the obelisk that can usually be picked out at the left hand end of Haldon Forest when viewed from the Wast. Relatively dry conditions made for some very fast times, winner, Michael ...
Colaton Raleigh were edged out by the odd goal in five at Dawlish United In a game dominated by the windy conditions, Raleigh trailed 3-0 at half-time. It was a very different story after the break with Raleigh having the benefit of the elements. Goals from Adrian Parr and Jake Boyland set them up for a grandstand finish. With five minutes to play a Tony Cox cross was dummied by player boss ...

The only thing I can think of is a change in circumstances during the council tax period? They should have really indicated why they were adjusting the amount payable. Give them a call, they are usually quite helpful.
if you ban me please ban nelson and you will all get some peace .
Have used O2 here for at least the last 5 years with no problem at all. Perhaps a change of provider might help. O2's coverage in general is a lot better.

Dawlish Community College is delighted to announce that in an inspection by OfSTED shortly before Christmas the College achieved a “Good” grading. The College was inspected in the two areas of Student Achievement and the College’s capacity to continue the recent significant improvements that we have made. The College is proud to report that we achieved a “Good” grading in both categories. The ...

A dog owner was rescued by a passer-by after jumping into the sea to save his pet. The man leapt into the sea at Dawlish, Devon, at about 12:30 GMT to save his springer spaniel. But he was soon struggling in the rough water and was pulled out by a passer-by who had thrown him a life ring. The dog was recovered but was pronounced dead at the scene and the dog's owner was unhurt said Brixham ...
After watching the news recently regarding the dodgy dentist (!) I realised that he had also been responsible for endeavouring to raffle off his house - the house was never raffled as apparently he did not sell enough tickets. If memory serves me correctly a random raffle ticket was picked and the winner got a cut of the money that had been collected!!!!!!!! This obviously looks like another ...
I think he is one of the people they dont want in their Ltd Company
A fake dentist who conned elderly patients into paying up to £1,400 for wonky sets of false teeth has been condemned as a charlatan by a judge. Stephen Sickelmore, 52, posed as a qualified professional when he visited patients all over Devon and Cornwall and took impressions of their mouths. But the only impression he left was a bad one as he conned £200,000 out of unsuspecting clients - money ...
You're quire right Lynne, that's why I made the comment, these anti-Builder, anti-Council, anti-Sainsburys etc rants have nothing to do with the price of eggs, oops, sorry, now we'll have people complaining about the price of eggs since Sainsburys moved to Dawlish.

This topic seems to have found its way onto Eyes of Dawlish (facebook) very interesting comment regarding the cycle path money being better spent on Youth sport. Totally agree the paths in Dawlish which have already been instigated have very little use, look an absolute disgrace(replacing the grass verges and still we have to put up with the lycra clad half witts wobbling along the main road ...
The development of special clinics are probably to blame for the increasing lack of crabs. lol
It wasn't a vote or a referendum. I'm really pleased that as many responded positively as did those who were against the proposal. I'd have expected those against to have been far greater in number due to human nature (as seen elsewhere in the country where vocal minorities rise up against changes). It's as perverse for MugOnHead to say that only 180 are for this scheme, as it is to say that only ...
The views of local people count for a great deal but both Teignmouth and Dawlish are tourist towns. The opinions of people who have visited are also important, whether positive or negative, and should not simply be dismissed because we don't like what they are saying.
Force and Sons were worthy winners methinks! There might be something in the Gazette tomorrow.
