He is definately not a recluse. He plays gigs round town with his friend Andy. If you look out for posters for 'Steffan Jones'. He quite often drinks in the White Hart. If you see a slim built man wearing a denim jacket and wearing a hat with lots of unusual items hanging off it, you have found your man. His son is also in a band called 'Dave Can't Dance'. They are playing at the Lansdown tonight.

I agree, looks good, the pavements in town are not wide enough for wheelchairs, prams etc. Would be very helpful if cars didn't park that side of the road, or even better make it completly pedestrianised - and have more markets etc in the town

There is no pleasing some people!! One minute you are all moaning that children are playing in the streets with there skateboards and causing problems, so it is agreed that a skate park is to be built so that children have somewhere to play or hang out and now your moaning about that, I agree it is a shame about the trees but just think what is going to be taken down when Tescos is built.

Absolute rubbish. I have never lived in a town that has so many gay/lesbians. There are loads and from what I see they are accepted very well.

Dom Jolly last night was fantastic. Really showed the major up for what she really is and how much of a waste of time the CCTV cameras are. There is another taxi company opened now as well, One4Cabs. I used them today. Lovely new car, lovely lady driver - an altogether pleasurable journey. Would reccommend them (888158).

I am also glad that Tesco are looking elsewhere as I wasn't impressed the way they dealt with things, however I think it would be brilliant if Sainsburys set up in Shutterton especially with a Fuel Station, the prices in Dawlish are just too high. What are other peoples thoughts.

Yes I agree it would be nice to forget the big stuff for one year and just have traditionl fun but I can't see that happening. As for donations made to local charities I can't see that either as I believe it being a entertainment organization which means money raised should be spent on entertaining the public.

I have already written a letter to the town council (for all the good that will do). The new playpark SHOULD be on the lawn. Boomerang, it's not about keeping the kids out of sight with a fence, it's about keeping them safe. Least then if anyone WAS run over on the Strand or Brunswick Place the town council couldn't be held accountable for it if they had provided an enclosed space for the children ...

There are many young people contributing to this website. Don't forget you were young once. It's good for everyone to express their opinions and the youths often speak a lot of truth and sense. Just because it may be in jargon does not mean they do not know how to spell - it's just the modern way of expressing themselves - innit m8!

I totally agree with you Skateboarder. It is so unfair how the young skaters are being treated in this town at the moment. They are doing nothing wrong, just enjoying a hobby and their youth - something we should all be entitled to when growing up. The photos of the damaged boards clearly show the marks not to be made by a skateboard and it doesn't take much to work this out. Sounds like they are ...

i really dont think we can complain about the NHS they do a fantasic job. if you were only to think about all the treatment/prescriptions you were to have if you knew the cost then you would moan. i know some one who is being treated for cancer and has had thounsands and thounsands of pounds worth of treatment allready. I dont think there is room for anyone to complain. As for town council well ...

The new Pope used to go on holiday in the 1950s to Lee Cliff Park in Dawlish Warren. At least twice maybe three times. He stayed in the chalets I believe.

Clever! I must say I am impressed with the decor of the Ugly Duckling - it gives The Strand a much needed lift. Bow Windows take note!
