Why do we have to pay to see the doctor or go to the hospital? I thought that the national health was Free. If you have a appointment then why not give you a ticket to place in your vehicle 1 hour should be sufficient for GP and 4 hours for hospital appointment any other suggestions? Apart from don't go.
Try living in another country without the NHS system - even worse. Although, having said this, i think hosp parking could be a tad cheaper!!

Over the years I've contributed loads in parking fees to visit my Mother, father & father-in-law when they were ill.
Also I need 2 lots of tablets per month for the rest of my life & still with 9 years left before I qualify for free prescriptions + they're now going up aswell.
And I still have to pay NI contributions for another 9 years till I retire!
I have lived in a foreign country for many years and they have private insurance companies offering different types of cover which is far cheaper and more efficient than this country. You always receive a private room and the facilities are superb.
You will no doubt say why didnt I stay there and you are right, I should have and regret it very much.
That way I would not have been living in this police state that Bliar has and is creating.
You are correct the car park does belong to teignbridge who are now discussing a private company taking over parking in Dawlish, Nation al Car Parks are one, and you know how they operate, why do you think CCTV was installed not just to deter crime (of which there is very little) but to issue parking fines and have your car towed, all very expensive and a rip off.
Ask the traffic warden to show you a ticket and at the bottom it reads.

it was council land in the first place and the council gave the hospital and surgary permission to build there ,there for they still own the car pk land duh plonker

i really dont think we can complain about the NHS they do a fantasic job. if you were only to think about all the treatment/prescriptions you were to have if you knew the cost then you would moan. i know some one who is being treated for cancer and has had thounsands and thounsands of pounds worth of treatment allready. I dont think there is room for anyone to complain. As for town council well what a load of idiots they need to think about what they put money into,they need somewhere for teenagers.

Wow everybody's getting quite heated here! One simple question about parking and off you all go about who knows what?! Why can't you all just get on with eachother? Or have a forum dedicated to bitching at eachother?! But yes parking is expensive, but is not the fault of the NHS, it's the council! And as unfair as it is they gotta get money from somewhere. Although yes, it would be nice if it was all spent constructively!
