It is a forum for Dawlish, but the last time I looked Dawlish was part of the UK and therefore everything about Brexit affects Dawlish. So until we reach the 29th of March 2019 people have the right to debate and show concern for the part their town will be playing in Brexit. Our MP is a Brexiteer and the more we hear about how the EU elite are trying to strip countries of their ability to self ...

b.o.liking and wondering I hope you have deep pockets, why? You seriously need to see the pre railway maps of Dawlish, Dawlish Warren and Starcross, the majority of developed areas were marshland. There were even flat bottomed boats that brought goods up to the bridge at Secmaton Lane for Secmaton Farm! This means that anything below Barton Terrace would revert to marsh, as would the Dawlish ...
I like the dog owners who create street art. I mean they pick the poo up then throw the bag into the hedge and it catches on the branch or brambles and hangs like a Christmas decoration until the bag degrades and the decomposed poo falls back for all to walk in. Nice!
Thank you Lynne for making the link easier for others. I just wanted to point out that the deal is not done and dusted as the Council are trying to portray, they have to go back to the landowners/developers and broker a deal which makes the sites viable. You can see that there are issues on viability since Langdon is still for sale on KLP Planning's website. This site was offered just after it ...
At least Dawlish Town Council is 8 Conservatives and 8 others, so decisions will not be a done deal and will be decided through discussion and not by towing the party line. The below was copied from the updated councillors page at TDC showing the political composition now with Cllr Wrigley on the list: Council composition The council consists of 46 Councillors who represent 25 electoral ...

Sorry been working away. The document in relation to Hill Drive contains information sent to the Inspector in relation to the Hill Drive case, it covers the DA2 Framework Document. The Planning Officer states this: 'Our Executive has now resolved to Adopt the SPD. This decision is subject to a 7 day call in period by the Overview and Scrutiny Committee after which time the Framework will ...
Maybe they could put affordable houses there, so the children will not have to go far to get to school! Or a new school building and have a split site? Handy since DCC have ignored the call for another school near Sainsburys. This means the remaining schools, all on bad roads will have more children and traffic put upon them, causing safety issues. Will be interesting what they do use it for ...
I guess single track lanes is a reference to Secmaton Lane Ken's favourite subject, since if he can allude to it he always does, ever since the original post on 9th September 2015. As for the traffic on Secmaton Lane, it appears that since the kind residents in the lower lane have chained their drives, those in the upper part are using Little Week Lane so I was told. I also found out that ...
In the 1930s, properties at Dix's Field, Exeter and Steepway, Paignton were purchased for use as domestic training hostels for young women. A farm hostel was founded on Langton Farm at Dawlish and a seaside holiday home was opened. In 1948 , the institution was transferred to the National Health Service, and became merged into the Royal West ern Counties Institution Hospital Group, which ...
Thank you Lynne, this list of dates is very helpful.
All please note that I am now away with friends, but I had a friend make up and put a paper petition in Marine Stores, Exeter Road. They are to ask all customers to sign today as the Planning Meeting is tomorrow morning. If anyone else wishes to pop in I do not think they will mind, as it is only today. Therefore tell friends who have no access to a computer where to go. The friend is to pick ...
No the Framework is hidden, as it only appear on the Agenda for the 5th April (see bottom of this post). Also on the Public Consultaiton Comments is this showing at least one party within the DA2 was concerned: Wadderton Park Ltd on behalf of the NHS (Langdon in other words) Para 3.6 the DCC Highway Capacity Assessment concludes there is limited capacity on Elm Grove Road. Even with the ...
The scoping opinion document stating no more than 180 houses at Secmaton Farm! The temporary SANGS within the consultation draft framework was for 140 houses, so where is the SANGS for the potentially 40 others coming from? http://docimages.teignbridge.gov.uk/Planning/StreamDocPage/obj.pdf?DocNo=3714679&PageNo=1&content=obj.pdf
Just looked on the site, they just as well forget it at present, it's 100% affordable outside cities and towns. It is like CIL £85 in Dawlish, £200 in rural Teignbridge including villages! It is just not viable!
The head of TalkTalk says she has had an email demanding a ransom from a group purporting to be behind the cyber-attack suffered by the company. Chief executive Dido Harding said she did not know whether the ransom email was genuine. The phone and broadband provider said personal and banking details of up to four million customers may have been accessed in the "significant" attack. The Met ...
