Yes Lynne we new it was coming just waiting to read the appeal documents and then we can start with our objections, after all this could be a way for others to avoid the link road.

Who could avoid the link road? Can you explain?

By using Secmaton Lane instead?

What other landowners could access Secmaton Lane within the DA2?  From my memory of the document handed out at the Leisure Centre all the housing is in a straight line from Sainsburys Roundabout to Gatehouse Farm house, this was the only piece of land that has direct access onto the lane, or am I wrong?

Is not Secmaton Farm accessible from Secmaton Lane?

And if you go along it far enough Gatehouse Farm is also accessible from Secmaton Lane. And before anyone tells me that part of the lane is for pedestrians and cyclists only I'd just point out that it wasn't always like that so why should it necessarily be so in the future?

(not that I am suggesting for one moment that the status quo should be altered. Just that I

can see Devon County Council's Highways department suggesting something along those lines.)

This Appeal was on the Agenda at last week's Dawlish Town Council planning committee meeting where it was Resolved that:

"Secmaton Lane must not be used for any construction traffic or any access to new houses".
