How many of these do you know? How black swans travelled across the world to make Dawlish famous Black swans, originally come from Australia and have been raised so successfully in Dawlish that they have become the town’s most recognisable feature and a major tourist attraction. Daw Vale Care Home closed back in 2015. There have since been 3 planning applications (in 2016,2017 and 2018) to develop the site but none of them came to anything.
