I thought nobody could surpass Tony Blair for being deceitful to the British people. But Teresa May has passed his treachery in spades. She has belittled us and made this country a friggin laughing stock . With Sir Ted Heath taking us into the Common Market with a deal he signed us up for and later wrote that by the time we knew what was happening it would be too late. Now the question ...

@maki1 . you said "but minutes,i thought, were meant to simply record decisions on a particular item of business and are not meant to be reports or verbatim of what was / wasn't said by councillors," Of course they are not verbatim, and there in lies the problem. If we do not know what coucillor said what or even know when a vote is taken on a motion, what councillor voted for, against or ...

Controversial plans to add two Teignbridge beaches to the list that dogs are banned from during summer months will be re-examined by councillors. Included in the order would be starting the beach dog ban start on April 1, rather than May 1, bringing all beaches into line with Dawlish Warren. Well done to Dawlish RBL for organising yesterdays parade. It was the biggest and best I have ever seen and well done to all who took part. Thank you.
They are planning to reshape the seawall along Marine Parade to deflect the waves back to the sea, whether that will work remains to be seen.
Well thats the way of the world some have it some dont it's always been that way and always will be.
My dad does computer MOTs as you put it for £40 😊
Ben Bradshaw on Dawlish rail line and the sea-change in public opinion on Brexit It is nearly five years since the line was closed for two months after damage caused by a winter storm. Conservative Cabinet Ministers, led by David Cameron, fell over themselves on visits to the region promising “money will be no object” in ensuring the Westcountry gets a railway resilient to the impacts of climate ...

Disgusting, and people still support charities. If they want something, give it to them but not by way of money donations. I have supported RSPCA, Mare & Foal, Cats Protection League ETC, ETC. By dropping off food. Simple!!!!!
Lefties is a term invented by people that can't handle the reality of facts lolololol
A dangerous rapist has been detained in hospital for treatment after a shocking series of attacks on women - including a violent assault on a 72-year-old in her home. After raping her he laughed and stole a precious piece of jewellery containing her late husband's ashes. The defendant, a paranoid schizophrenic originally from South Africa, was given a hospital order by a judge at Exeter Crown ...
Taken today, 31/10/18. They are only a couple of days old at the most. I hope they survive especially as one from the brood earlier this year keeps pecking at them. Jealousy maybe?

Some 1.2 million homes will be among the buildings at risk of coastal flooding, while 100,000 properties will be threatened by eroding coastlines, a report from the Committee on Climate Change (CCC) said. And places such as Dawlish in Devon, and Hemsby and Happisburgh in Norfolk are already being hit by floods, coastal storms and erosion. Read more... ...
I quite agree with that, I'm not sure what done above is enough, I think mirrors or something would have been well suited too, as it does not allow cars turning in to Sealawn, become any more noticable, and cars pulling out still can't see left and right due to the vehicles parked there.
He has been found, is safe and well, and likely not to be around Dawlish anytime soon.
@DEEDOODLE they said that maybe the case on the local news this morning :-(
Sir Clegg, only in politics can a loathsome failure of a human rise so high and squirrel away so much. As to a job with Facebook, I think not. This is a payoff for direct communications into the stinky bowels of those that run the stinking pile of plop we call the U.K. government, in my opionion.

Who sets the times for these meetings? Would it not be an idea to have the Dawlish times the same as the other ones so that people who work a 9-5 might get a chance to attend.
Re: report the other day about police car having tyres slashed Wondered if they report that as crime, if Joe public had it done no police would be interested.still good to know that commissioner coward who locked his car in the stabbing murder of the lone policeman at Westminster has his 150k pension to look forward to.

Interesting column by Kyle Tagg in latest Dawlish Gazette (see page 2) concerning the Sainsbury's roundabout/Secmaton Lane link road, the A379 and the increase in the number of cars in the area (due to the increase in the number of houses).
Walking along The Strand, around 19:00hrs, last night and a woman was begging in the doorway of one of the shops. What was disconcerting was one of the veteran drunks was hiding behind a car, slightly back and opposite her. I did not notice him skulking there until we had walkied past him towards her. Once upon a time laws were enforced by constabularies and a policeman had a certain amount of ...
