Teenage boys were beaten up and hospitalised after a night of violence in Teignmouth at the weekend involving a gang allegedly carrying knives.

Police have confirmed that they are investigating two separate incidents in Woodway Road at around 11.15pm on Saturday night in which one boy was knocked unconscious and another was headbutted.

All of the guests were asked to leave and one mother described how the original four gatecrashers rang other friends in the Teignmouth and Dawlish areas who waited 'in formation' for the teenage guests as they left the party.
