Despite being the go ahead by the government to finally begin reintroducing visits to loved ones inside care homes, some settings in Devon are choosing to still be extra cautious.

Visitors are required to have a rapid Covid-19 test when they arrive, wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and be asked to keep physical contact to a minimum.

Sefton Hall in Dawlish was one of a 'small number' of Devon care homes selected to take part in a rapid results Covid-19 test trial for relatives to visit their loved ones indoors without a screen last year.

The home also hit the headlines in May 2020 after it copied the concept of drive-through restaurants to reunite loved ones on one day during the coronavirus crisis.
