In my opinion it is the league who needs to be fined not the swimming clubs. It was their actions that caused the issue in the first place not the swimming clubs. It would seem the League is salivating over the chance of making £2500 in fines for their own incompetence, that's my feeling.

17 To the israelites the glory of the Lord looked like a consuming fire on top of the mountain. Is this a sign from God, not quite as good as milk coming out of a statue though - Praise the Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone that attacks innocent people are cowards. The Paris attacks were terrible, I was in Paris in the summer with my family. Should we stop helping the vast majority of innocent people because of these idiots? Where do these people go if no one accepts them? That is exactly what ISIS want. They want for the "west" to appear unfriendly and against Islam, that helps their recruitment no end. In ...

Don't give the old excuse Oh people want to drink wine on the lawn, it works n other towns. Dawlish is very lax on things, like dog fouling, parking on double yellow lines and on the pavement. As for feeling sorry forthe happy hut drinkers and ...

As seen at the 2014 Party in the Park where kids went into the shops who sold them booze and then ran amok spoiling not just the day but ruined the future of the event as well.
The British coast is facing a disastrous future unless urgent action is taken now by the Government and agencies, the National Trust is warning. The country needs to prepare itself for the growing challenges of severe storms and rising sea levels. The UK’s coastline was battered by a series of high tides and storms in 2013 and 2014 which resulted in erosion levels that would normally take up to ...
@ZIGGY , Apologies, for removing the link but it doesn't work for everyone. Admittedly, one would have expected such a web page to be public, but clearly it isn't.

be interested to know what you are celebrating @Carer . I don't mind fireworks too much, the dog doesn't like it but we can usually fit in a long enough run for him not to get too distressed in the evening. It's the odd firework let off 'willy nilly' I object to. Fireworks are dangerous, there's about 1000 injuries each year (stats available up to 2005, they are no longer collected!). I would ...

@1263 - i agree with you on getting rid of the comissioners, a completely useless excercise in employing a watchdog to oversee the police. paid an extorniate amount of money for being dead weight in a time when the government is screwing exvery penny out of the public services, whilst discussing spending £100 billion on major projects, plus the hs2 fiasco. To DogsRGR8. What did you see wrong with my post that I would want a medal. I was commenting that now I have a puppy It is more obvious that a lot of people do NOT pick up after their dogs. In fact walking up the Strand yesterday there were two big piles of poop on the pavement outside the travel agents, of which had been walked in by some unsuspecting person. Thanks Flo.

No HuwMatthew2, I didn't say that at all. In fact if you reread my post of 22 Oct at 23.04 you will see that I mention travelling TOWARDS Exeter and said left hand lane for straight on and right hand lane for turning into Sainsbury's or going full circle. So you may have misread that. On Saturday I followed a Nissan Micra from Dawlish all the way to the large roundabout at the far end of the ...
