Just out of curiousity I typed in What Do They Know Peter Harry and clicked on search. And sure enough it seems PH is still at it. Last FOI request/correspondence involving PH seems to have been but only earlier this year with North Yorkshire Police.

And we are told that the drains and sewers can cope with all the new house building. They cant even cope with a 30 min rain storm or an influx of holiday makers. A major re-think is needed by SWW and the councils. INFRASRUCTURE BEFORE HOUSES its that simple

In many, many years from now, when the sea levels rise and the coast of the UK is pushed further inland, the Dawlish Sea Wall will probably still be standing proud as a testament to the sheer amount of concrete poured into it over the last years or so.  It will be fantastic to be able to walk all the way along the sea wall again.  You don't realise how much you will miss something until you can't ...

In the case of Warren Farm I think you'll find we are talking about one house only. A barn conversion. The legislation that allows this to happen also has various restrictions as to how many houses can be built (believe only barns already in situ) and how big (no bigger than the space already taken up by the barn in question).

TEDDY bears were parachuting out of the sky as part of an event at a Dawlish church to encourage the community to be a part of the congregation. THE coastguard has reminded dog owners to keep their pets on leads near cliff edges following an incident at Dawlish Warren in which two dogs had to be rescued. I agree with 'oursoul' clean up the biggest asset Dawlish has. It is full of stinking seaweed and rotting jelly fish - it is not a pleasant place to be in the hot weather!  Even puts me off my choccy biscuits .....I am a responsible dog owner, I walk where I am allowed on all beaches and I pick-up when necessary. The decision by health bosses to move Teignmouth Hospital's Minor Injuries Unit to Dawlish has been met with 'bitter disappointment' by campaigners.
