Police have issued a warning to cyclist seen on Dawlish Sea Wall - Don't do it.
Roller-blading, skateboards and scooters are also prohibited.
What's all the fuss about? People have always ridden their cycles along the sea wall.
Owing to the restricted space on the sea wall and the sheer drop, cyclists are a danger to themselves and law-abiding people who walk/jog along the route. Well done to the police for acting on the growing concerns about a selfish minority of cyclists. To be fair, most cyclists realise that councils have bent over backwards to provide cycle lanes, expensive scenic routes (Powderham - Turf) so they leave the sea wall to walkers, but I suppose you always get a few morons who want to push their luck even further.
