How come the Dawlish Gazette doesn't actually print news. For example the man just charged with indecent behaviour with children including the rape of under age child.etc. Had to read about it in the herald express. Also some weeks ago aman attacked with baseball bat outside the Landsdown. Nothing. Is it because the police ashkyou not to print anything or is it an attempt not to sully Dawlish,s reputation. Lots of things happen here that never get written about feels like I am living in a mushroom farm, kept in the dark and fed ..... The only paper that gives us news is the Herald Express.

It's been the same for as long as i can remember and thats a long time it has nothing to do with the Police it's just how it is like many things in Dawlish.

If you are referring to the online version, they keep it brief so you have to spend the money to either read the full story online or buy the paper.

Simple.

If you mean the Herald Express, at least it gives us the news, and you can read it for free in the Libary. The Gazette gets thinner every week.

@Monty. Is the Herald Express printed in Plymouth, South Devon?

Don't know, but they are pretty  hot on getting the up to date news locally.

@Monty. Just found out that there are 2 versions. Herald Express(for Torbay area) , and Plymouth Herald for Plymouth area.

I read the torbay area one.

For what it is worth I think the Dawlish Gazette is very Dawlish focussed as its name implies (Dawlish Post though is another matter).

I buy the Gazette every week. rarely buy the Express & Echo or Herald Express.

I guess that as it is so Dawlish focussed, and has to be produced every week, then it follows that some weeks it may be more interesting than others.

@monty - have you thought to contact the mda offices in newton abbot to express your concerns and to see what the journalists have to say about them?
