Have to agree Verbatim , The Terrace does a cracking breakfast and not bad value. Owners always up for a chat.

As it clearly says it on the sign, you cant moan. You could have picked up some mints , toilet roll or anything you knew you would use and gone over £6.
I dont like coffee and its owned by Baileys, and if you go in at 4-45pm they dont like to serve. You can get a nice pot of tea at The Terrace or Bay Windows, or if the weathers warm a nice mug at The Pirates chest and a couple of biscuits to dunk.
They'll be working in London. Holiday home near the sea. Or the landlords will rent it to 6 or 8 foreign workers who will be working locally in cafes , hotels, holiday parks ,factories. happens all over the country. All they need is a bed for the night , landlord charges £600-£800 a month, worker earns as much as they can over 6 months , then goes back and can then claim all the tax back that they ...
I wonder if anyone can help. Im looking to buy a Rocking Horse for my Grandaughter. Ive been told of a company that trades on the internet called" The 1 for U ltd " that are based down shutterton lane. Has anyone had any dealings with this company , are they decent and are the Rockinghorses of a good quality. As you can imagine they arent cheap , so i want as much info before buying . cheers.
I think high streets all over the country are having a bad year , so i doubt if Dawlish is different. The opening of sainsburys will have a big difference to start with , but people will soon realise that by the time you add the petrol cost on its hardly cheaper. Veg is dearer and the quality is far poorer to start off.Petrol a penny cheaper a litre. It will cost you that to drive the extra mile. ...
Mug on head , great post, how to look an arsehole in 20 seconds. Why not tell us the name of your business, that way i can make sure i never use it again. Take no notice emeralddecor, its the same old bitter idiot, that has been on hear using differnt names for years.Spends his whole life slagging off the council, the people of Dawlish and its occupants. Why he feels the need to put that he OWNS ...
Went in last week and the person you refer to was very friendly when i spoke with her. she was polite, helpful and did everything i required of her. Seems you are the only person that has a problem in the shop. You must have done something to upset her, perhaps it was slagging her off on here.
Smug head, you are the one that started moaning blaming Sainsburys. What a suprise your favourite in the past had the word TEIGNMOUTH in it. Overall i think it was a very good week. The beer tent was missed , especialy the Tribute. Floats may have been down due to the recession. Crowd numbers were way up as were the numbers for the pram race. The pikey clowns were a pain but then they were also ...
Perhaps it went to Libya? Two went through the practice over Dawlish the previous day .
Ive noticed a number of lycra cyclists eating in the cafes on a sunday morning. Not a pretty sight whilst having my fry up but they are spending money.
I agree with the local produce from Chrissie Taylors. Strawberries and tomato's are very tasty and local. Mars bar slice from ryders is very tasty and the swiss rolls. Wee shoppe bakery is also very good . Bacon sandwich and a mug of tea. Pirates chest. Pizza and a pint . Marine Tavern
So the Tory pulling out to let the Liberal win didnt work. Great news and good to see the Greens get a decent vote as well. Hopefully LIB/CON will never dirty this town again.
Spoil your ballott paper then. Write the name of the party you would like to vote for or write your all useless on it.
wriggler , dont forget Smughead has invested £1 millions pounds into our community to look after us peasants. we should be grateful for his wise words . An industry leader such as Smughead knows far more about business, than poxy little Sainsburys.
Its neither , so that makes two dicks.Your businesses became our business the day you decided to slag off , someone who had just started his own up in the town. I see your still not giving us the name of your great company that you've invested a million pounds in. As for your £9-50 generalisation. One it was wrong, as you cant get Sun holidays at the moment and the £1100 a week accomodation is ...
any news on whats happening with ground etc
If you go in a chipshop 20 minutes before it is due to close , and all they offer you is chips because they cant be arsed to cook anything else then im sorry, but if id gone in singing and dancing , it would have made no difference. If a business is to lazy to take your custom then it never deserves it again. In high season Rock and sole has a choice of 8 or 10 different fish, hence the wait at ...
Good to hear and great for dawlish.
I think i remember seeing a sign for Oakcliffe holiday park, that mentioned wifi. As for meals , most places are pretty good. Only place i wouldnt touch with a barge pole is Baileys. In Dawlish Warren , the 2 places that are family friendly are The Welcome and The Boathouse.
Why should the elderly get a concession , thier dogs poo just as much. If a dog is barking all the while then report it to the council. they will write to the owner. If you see the same owner letting its dog poo everywhere then take a picture and take a walk to the local police tea and shower room and report it.
Im with you dawlish blue, i also enjoy shopping at the coop , i have nothing but praise for them and with your coop members card, you get a share of the profits and discounts through the year. Co op over Tesco every day of the week.,
Hells Bells the tories didnt complacently believe they would get in again. They already knew the minute they were against the independants they would struggle. This is why they couldnt find candidates.Hence the paper candidate, who was told she wouldnt win and was only down to make it look like the party wasnt struggling.Ask her and she'll tell you what went on. If your version is true , then why ...
Good to see the police have left the office shower and are finally doing something.Cant believe anyone would eat or drink in that dump.
Spot on Lynn. Not a paper that i like but on this occasion it hits the nail on the head.
Has anyone been in lately. I notice the young couple running it have put alot of hard work in to improve the place .Its a shame it was quiet. Six of us went in for a meal lately and i have to say the food was very good , and great value. The curries are excellant, grills were good, ham was fresh and so was the salad .Fish tasted good and the carvery look plentiful. If there is one criticism, that ...
Perhaps the Police were in the £85,000 shower and couldnt hear thier radios.
Well done cal and councillor clatworthy
Last time i went in sainsburys the shop had signs "Pricewatch" all over the store. It then stated that it was the same price as Tesco.Yipee price fixing. I also bought some spuds from Tesco.British spuds all the way from Scotland and they were dearer than our local greengrocers.
But then you wouldnt have supported that great british institution
Congratulation wilo, im glad my letter played a small part. Perhaps the council will now look into Richard Bland and his antics, which have wasted taxpayers much needed funds. As the vote was so unanimous then clearly he had an agenda.Perhaps his suitability for the job should be looked into as clearly he has no idea what councillors or the general public think.
I hate to sound like im having a go at you Carer but ,your comments may have put people off as they had a negative tone. Maybe you would have been better off posting nothing. Or you could have put , it may rain tomorrow but who cares as its in a barn.from the look of Mr macs posts he only seams to have a go at people who continously run our town down with negative moaning posts, which im afraid ...
This is a great way of doing it. It allows you to ask a candidate what they will spend money on in the constituency before they are elected. If you dont like it , you dont vote for them. Also you can look at the issues your councillor has supported and if you dont like it , vote them out. I'd rather some scouts got a small amount of money to keep them off the streets and go camping rather than ...
Just look for the address of your nearest Devon County Councillor and dump your rubbish on thier drive. They'll gladly take it to N/A as its not far.
The reason i dont shop at tesco is the beef, lamb and chicken is all halal.
I'd guess we will have a new election as im sure more than 10 people will ask for one. Lets hope the tories get hammered for wasting our money.
User4549 ,If your that bothered about its safety , pay cash like the rest of us. As Andy Mac says, this system has been used around the country for years, its no different to buying any item on your credit card. Is it 100% safe NO, but its alot safer than using your credit card in any shop , or petrol station. Its also safer than drawing money out of a cash machine. Is anything 100% safe NO, but if ...
I think that answers the question Lynne .You do wonder why someone would start a thread like this when there is no truth in it.
