After extensive research over a number of months I have found that the best All Day Full English Breakfast can be had at The Witches Bowl on Queen Street. Any comments?
No idea... rarely get down town on a Saturday :(, and in any case, I don't think I could manage two :)
ye they do. i prefer 2delicious for saturday brekkie. is that good enough english. or should i say full english lolz.
Never tried witches bowl but up to now my choice is the beach cafe.
Never had a bad one there and theyll always substitute stuff, for example fried bread,if your like me and dont like it. Have tried 2delicious,and yes its a good one,but if you are a greedy pig like me,the beach cafe piles it on. Is anyone prepared to admit getting a brekkie from baileys? i tried one once and left it there,it was vile
I tried nearly all of them a couple of times.. as I said.. extensive research, but I restricted it to Full English Breakfast available all day long. Bailey's wasn't bad, but I didn't like the atmosphere or service.
It was just for fun... have also separately visited a lot of the country pub restaurants around the area for lunch. There are a lot of good places.
Yes i had one from baileys. The breakfast wasnt bad. The problem was the dirt. The place was filthy, the utensils werent cleaned properly and the cup had lipstick on. I took it back and 3 cups later they managed to find a clean one. Your feet stuck to the floor and the table was disgusting.
I would never eat thier again.
I recon the best breakfast around has to be Taylors or Witches Bowl!!Baileys is W**k poor service and cheap food all deep fat fried and horrible!don't know how its scored a 4 out of 5 in food hygiene standards!!How much did they bung them?
Taylors 9/10
Witches Bowl 9/10
Deli ????
Beach Cafe 5/10
Baileys -1/10
What about the Terrace Cafe? Everything I have ever eaten there has been really good. The place is always clean, 5 * hygene certificate and the food always hot and freshly prepared. Always friendly when you go in and the owner has a wicked sense of humour. For those who have not tried it I would rate it a 10 out of 10.
Have to agree Verbatim , The Terrace does a cracking breakfast and not bad value. Owners always up for a chat.
I went to The Home Kitchen (by the railings) this morning for breakfast, not sure if it's an "All Day" one but I found it to be excellent value for money. 3 rashers of back bacon, 1 sausage, 2 poached eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans and 2 slices of white or brown toast & butter, all for £4.95!! I even managed to get 4 cups of tea from my pot for one! (You're usually lucky to get 2 cups from other establishments).
To round it up, good food at reasonable prices, pleasant and polite service. I recommend the Home Kitchen to anyone who needs a good breakfast inside them, give it a try!
