Just walked to Dawlish Warren along the beach from the Rockstone and couldn't believe the disgusting state with loads of rubbish everywhere.

It's no wonder there was nobody using that part of the beach.

Agree would appear the new council are'nt doing much about it and niether are Teignbridge. Perhaps they believe Sainsbury's are responsible now. Have you also noticed the grass verges are not being mowed along Exeter Road. Public service cuts have to hit somewhere, but I dont suppose the £9.50 sun holiday makers would notice anyway once they've got thier cheap booze from Geralds and thier imported baccy from wherever. Standards are definatley falling around the town with no imediate end in sight.

Who put the rubbish there in the first place? ..'people' not the Council lol.

Some of the posts dont exactly sell Dawlish to anyone wanting to visit ..no wonder they go elesewhere...then we get winging they have!

Rubbish comes in on the tide alot of the time, hardly the councils fault. Since when have you been able to get £9-50 sun holidays in high season smug head. Most are paying £600-1000 per week at the minute.Id have thought you needed those sun holiday makers to frequent both your businesses that you invested a million pounds in, or are you making a dick of yourself again.It took you less than 20 seconds this time , your improving.

@Warrener.

The only Dicks on here are the ones that cant read the posts correctly. Nobody made any comment regarding where the rubbish came from only who has the responsibility for clearing it away. My businesses have nothing to do with holiday makers and even less to do with you. I fail to understand what your problem is with people bringing money and NEW ideas to Dawlish unless they trade in the town center or provide something for the holiday trade. The £9.50 reference was a generalization based on the type of holiday maker Dawlish Warren usually attracts. Just for your information the more expensive accommodation you refer to is not even making 50% occupancy as of today. Having said that the best campsite although strictly speaking not in Dawlish is at the moment full to capacity for camping. This information actually from my local customers, not visitors.

Perhaps you should do the decent thing and give Teignbridge a lift to clear up before Dawlish Carnival Week and the Teignmouh Power Boat GP as you obviously believe its not a local government issue

Its neither , so that makes two dicks.Your businesses became our business the day you decided to slag off , someone who had just started his own up in the town. I see your still not giving us the name of your great company that you've invested a million pounds in. As for your £9-50 generalisation. One it was wrong, as you cant get Sun holidays at the moment and the £1100 a week accomodation is full on most sites, as i have a friend staying in some at the moment , who struggled to book in.One site is struggling to fill its accomodation , but then that is probably due to how badly it is run.

Surely someone who's running a million pound business wouldn't have time to spend on a inconsequential little forum like this? (no offence Webmaster but it's not exactly competition for Facebook!!)

Isn't it only those like me here - out of work/retired/sick/bored/lonely/friendless/obsessives (delete as appropriate) ??? (I'm the first one because of the third one in case anyone wonders, with probably a bit of the rest thrown in too)

Its not rocket science guys, a lot of the information I try to pass on via this site is given to me by local people who also use the services of my company in addition to being customers and owners of others. Listening to people who like to talk is all part of what we do. This site is an excellent source for local information with lots of useful stuff posted by Lynne and others and as such is worthy of the time spent.

Spending a million pounds on business including land and property in and around south Devon is not a huge deal has nobody noticed the property prices around Holcombe and Ashcombe. Get real look at the cost of renting a town center shop. There are loads of million pound businesses in the area

@Duckileaks. please seek help with your issues dawlish has excellent health care facilities, casual work opportunities including voluntary services, you have no reason to feel as described. get out if you can and talk to people. facebook ermmm????? maybe not
