Perhaps we can all take lessons in duplicity from certain Dawlish Town Councillors......they're experts at masking things. Or maybe this new website will bring with it a new openness and transparency?
Dullish's Posts
No....but I can smell the stench of a Dawlish Town Council lackey...... As for right on cue.....shall we wait a while for the PR responses from Truth/Don Pearson? C'mon Deacon, shake a leg!
Ethical.....now there's a word you wouldn't associate with Dawlish Town Councillors. If only some of them had the courage to own up to their malfeasance and fall on their professional swords, what a better place it would be.
Can you trust a man who 'feigns' the promotion of youth when he runs his business on disposable, non-contract, young people? Can't see much investment in Dawlish youth there.
How can the truth claim he loves Dawlish when ignoring this important subject? We own him......
I think he's using me to avoid your questions User 4549. Dullish By the way Truth......do you find that people patronise you? That means talking down to you..........
Dawlish mayor Cllr Wally Protheroe said: "The new footpath will improve the quality of life along Brunswick Place for residents, businesses and visitors, and will help facilitate short term parking in this area." What about the quality of life for Dawlish residents who will have to contend with drug addicts/alcoholics in their town passing on their habits to their children, because of Cllr ...
23:00 - 01-September-2008 TWO environmentally conscious friends from Dawlish are behind a new venture which is being launched in Topsham on Sunday, September 14. Sue Haswell and Carolyn Wilson, both in their 40s, have co-founded Eco-fayre, a fair which is dedicated to promoting ethical and eco-friendly products and services in the heart of the community. The aim of the venture is to bring ...
Is this an indicator of what Dawlish can expect when the 'disaffected' start to accumulate in Dawlish's new Youth Drug/Alcoholic Centre? Teenager is stabbed in neck and chest in street attack by gang 07:20 - 02-September-2008 A vicious thug stabbed a teenager in the neck, chest and arm during a violent attack by a gang in Exeter. The victim was heading into Friars' Walk, near Topsham Road, ...

From The Sunday Times August 24, 2008 The wind, the rain, the child-hating waiters . . . Whoever said British holidays were back in must have forgotten the soggy reality Eleanor Mills This year it was all about the stay-cation; a mixture of the credit crunch and green one-upmanship was leading the most unlikely types to boast about how they were shunning their usual couple of weeks in the ...
Leonard Lamb must be turning in his grave.....
Defeatist response is recognised. The sum of your debate is accusing me of being a BNP supporter. What depth you have..... I would stick to conversation on alcohol....appears to be your forte.
23:00 - 26-August-2008 DEVON firms depending on last-minute summer custom found themselves wondering where exactly all the visitors had gone as they were left deserted during a cloudy bank holiday. Those joining the getaway to the South West for this year's last public holiday seemingly bypassed beaches, shops and some tourist attractions yesterday — leaving those who witnessed heavy traffic ...
Well done Tom Daley! Plymouth must be extremely proud. If only Dawlish could produce an athlete of his calibre? Highly unlikely, when Dawlish Town Council's emphasis on youth amounts to background deals with Teignbridge District Council to push through a Youth Centre that is more concerned with alcoholics and drug addicts, than the local youth it was intended for. Now we learn that this Youth ...
Why does Joey Deacon always struggle with charity transparency and openness questions?
10:00 - 19-August-2008 SEASIDE areas across the Westcountry will have to be abandoned within two or three generations because the cost of protecting them from coastal erosion is too high, the new chief of the Environment Agency has warned. The sea will reclaim vast stretches of the UK's coastline, with some vulnerable sections of the coast in this region evacuated and left to the mercy of the ...
Your response typical of chicken deacon (rip). Have you counted up your admin monies yet?
Assumptions again.... Ditto can be said of Chicken Shed etc.... As regards answering questions, isn't it time you gave it a go? Now where were we? Oh yes, those questions regarding certain Councillors and corruption? Care to enlighten us?
Try a Bike Shop in Dawlish called Braking Wind (honest), they can probably give you lots of help/advice with bike hire/cycle paths etc. There is an enjoyable cycle ride from Powderham Church (Powderham castle & Estate), taking you along the River Exe and up to Turf Locks Hotel/Pub. Great fun! Avoid Dawlish Warren...besides nature reserve, there is nothing there; apart from too many people ...
The front page of this weeks Dawlish Post hails the arrival of Tom Scobie, as the new Town and Villages Reporter of the Dawlish Gazette. At first, this appointment appears innocuous, but closer inspection raises the concerns that council/mayoral reportage may not be impartial. Mr Scobie sat alongside councillor Protheroe on the local council, both of them Lib Dem. Mr Protheroe is now mayor of ...
Can anyone explain why Dawlish Warren has such a tacky reputation? With such a beautiful area, why is it spoilt with so many tacky pubs and camps? As somebody explained on an earlier thread, "it's certainly not upmarket". It seems the Warren is a prime example of the junk culture that is spreading throughout this country of ours. Not that the owners of these places care ......as long as they ...
If we are to keep such pomp and badge of prestige, then change the rules so ALL residents of Dawlish get to vote who wears the pretentious chain. Rather than the inner-sanctum of the dozen or so cronies who seem to perpetually vote each other.
I doubt the new Mayoress will be any different as she has been trawled from the same pool of 'inner circle' back-slappers(so much for true democracy heh?!). Ex Mayor Prowse passed me in the street the other day, with her usual pretentious demeanour. At first, i thought the spring blossom was stronger than normal, then quickly surmised that it was her over-powering perfume. It was enough to stun ...
