Is this an indicator of what Dawlish can expect when the 'disaffected' start to accumulate in Dawlish's new Youth Drug/Alcoholic Centre?

Teenager is stabbed in neck and chest in street attack by gang

07:20 - 02-September-2008

A vicious thug stabbed a teenager in the neck, chest and arm during a violent attack by a gang in Exeter.

The victim was heading into Friars' Walk, near Topsham Road, after a night out with friends when the driver of a silver Peugeot 106 car revved his engine at a set of traffic lights and started shouting abuse.

The driver followed the friends for a short distance and then got out of the car with three passengers.

The 19-year-old victim, who has asked not to be named, said two men and two women, all in their late teens, attacked him and his friend.

I can't believe what the world is comming to , Exeter used to be such a quiet place to live.
Maybe its the drivers of silver peugeots , there was a gang of youths in whipton at 1.30 Sunday morning who were shouting and arguing and then reversed at speed into my neighbours car and drove off leaving it damaged .
Mayve the driving age should be raised to 21 then at least they couldn't have drove round and found that poor guy and stabbed him .

Its very sad when a teenager can not go out for the night without fear of being attacked.Lets hope they catch these thugs very soon

Really? In that case, we should all descend upon the Manor House with our pitchforks and torches in order to prevent this from happening...

I will remind you of your lack of concern when the reality of this 'bad idea' starts to impact on our youth.

Not much of a legacy for John Anthony, is it?

I asked a very simple question, to which you responded with "I".

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you suffered a slip of the finger, and so I'll try again:

Why do you think that the news item you copy and pasted is an indicator of future problems in Dawlish?

Personally I'm unsure as to whether this Youth Centre is a good idea or a bad idea, so please stop being so aggressive.

The revised plan for a youth centre at Sandy Lane(this weeks Dawlish Gazette) says nothing about a Bar and Disco. Where did that come from.
I saw the original planning application posted on the fence at Sandy Lane but haven't as yet seen a revised one.

You seem to have an issue with copy and paste and yey utilise it yourself. Hypocritical perhaps? You also perceive opinion as aggression.....very strange.

This drug/alcoholic youth centre is a bad idea. Since when did a promise of a Youth Centre turn into a project which will mix Dawlish youth with 'disaffected' people from all over Teignbridge?

Attempt to get a straight answer. Take 3:

Why is the news item that you copy and pasted an indicator of future problems in Dawlish?

P.S. I have no problem with copy and pasting, when the netiquette courtesy of a link is provided. Or when the text that is copied isn't claimed as ones own...

You copy and paste your way and I mine.

How dense are you that you still require an answer after answers have been given? Is it an attempt on your part to defend a Youth 'Drug/Alcoholic' Centre because friends of yours are behind this calamity?

There's no need to be abusive Dullish Roy.

You posed the question "is this an indicator..."

I asked "in what way?"

I can't see an answer to my question in this thread.

Like I've already said, I truly don't know whether to think that this is a good idea or a bad idea.

To assist me, could you please answer my question and also the point raised by Ziggy re. the revise planning application? Thank you.

P.S. To the best of my knowledge, no friends of mine are involved in this project.

I apologise if I am being dense, but the news report makes no mention of a drug/alcoholic centre close to that incident.

It does not either add to or detract from an argument against such a centre in Dawlish.
