My instincts tell me, that is a lot. Dawlish is really nice, but come on. The developer is taking all the profit upside off the table, and more besides. People buying must have balls of granite.

There's a huge tree in the grounds of Powderham, that I think is the beautiful perfect tree in the world. If you go down the road alongside the estuary you'll see it. I wanted to photograph it this time, but the light was wrong.

When I used to live in Dawlish - the idea of being posted to Bideford or Barnstaple - it would have been like living at the end of the world. Now I do live at the end of the world, I haven't really modified that opinion. If it was cheap there, then yeah I would consider it. But its expensive too. Porlock is nice, so is Combe Martin, Lynmouth. There's another place....is it Dulverton? Dunster? ...
