Me too Deedoodle! I too walked around town last week in the late afternoon and evenings and saw the usual suspects openly drinking from beer cans, cider bottles etc! For what it is worth I think the Dawlish Gazette is very Dawlish focussed as its name implies (Dawlish Post though is another matter). I buy the Gazette every week. rarely buy the Express & Echo or Herald Express. Yes, it was an option in 2013 (as you say Option 2 in the report below) - and quite an attractive one given its size, prominence and elevation. The temporary SANGS area within this option site (the tongue shaped plot of land described by Lynne above) has to the best of my knowledge been provided by Redrow - even though it would appear Redrow have already paid Teignbridge to secure permanent SANGS ...
