Have we not just built two aircraft carriers.

Car Parking has always been an issue and in reply to ZIGGY People only have themselves to blame for not having enough parking spaces. Council officers are very shrewed players. They can ignore legislation to suit themselves. It is only when they are found out - the blame games start. Officers advise members, and most members haven't a clue what officers are advising them. so a nod and a wink lives ...
I saw a kid (my definition - someone who had the overall look of a child under the age of sixteen, but over the age of 10 years) on the Cove beach with a black widow catapult in hand. Last night a number of folk from the theatre drinking wine by the brook maybe they didn't think the prohibition notice applied to them.
Two large white vans parked on Iddesleigh Terrace pavement (just down a bit from where the estate agent is located) this morning when I walked into town.

Well I've often thought that you must have some kind of alert system when it comes to my postings because as I say it is usually nanno second stuff in terms of your responding. I was beginning to think you might have been stuck in a very long queue at a passport control somewhere..........
A binge drinker has been jailed for slashing two teenaged girls with a Stanley knife during a sixth form party. The mayor of Teignmouth says he has no doubts whatsoever that a proposed airshow for Teignmouth and Dawlish for 2018 will happen – and it could provide a £3m boost to the economy. The initial outlay for the first year of the event could cost around £150,000, but Cllr Paul Burgess, the mayor of Teignmouth, said they would hope to cover the costs of the displays through corporate sponsorship and ...
Anti-pollution campaigners, Surfers Against Sewage, (SAS) sent out real time text alerts through its Safer Seas app warning people that the sea may pose a risk to their health in some areas. The alerts are based on information gathered by South West Water and the Environment Agency and the amount of polluted water that is spilled using combined sewer overflows (CSO) during heavy rain. SAS has been ...
Thanks for sharing that about Tucks Plot. IIRC, this is confirmation of what was mooted earlier this year or late last year. Hopefully a business will take on the lease and create an Adventure Golf course like the excellent ones at the Warren and (dare I say it) Teignmouth.
Lynne, can't have it where the piazza is as you will need the approval from the smackheads and drunks. And they have the approval from the police and Teignbridge council to be there.
But the cabinet isn't saying we won't leave the EU. What the agreed line appears to be (and it seems that arch Brexiteers Johnson, Fox and Davies agree with this) is that it is in the country's interests for there to be a softer economic landing by way of leaving the EU completely over a period of time rather than leaving the EU completely on March 29th 2019. If you disagree with that proposal I ...

I was in Teignmouth last night and stood right by the cafe - destroyed is a bit of an exaggeration. Was told the kitchen is badly damaged and the rest was full of smoke but they're aiming to be up and running again soon.

I can't find anything about this on St. Gregs website. Fete on the Lawn usually takes place in July. I was out of town last week and the week before. Did it happen then?
This has been around other sites so thought it worth posting on here.

I think it will have put paid to any ministerial (no matter how junior) ambitions she may have had.
Absolutely brilliant, something nice to celebrate and enjoy for many years. Many thanks to all involved.
Unless it's been altered (and I don't think it has) the Local Plan for Dawlish shows that there is to be a green 'corridor' betweeen the Gatehouse developments and the development at the Langdon Hospital site.
This is a sad time, the end of HSTs and the introduction of more uncomfortable, overcrowded inferior trains similar to the Crosscountry trains.
