I understand Tracey will be leaving this post wef this coming Friday.
She has found another post in the locality that offers her greater security (the funding for the TCDM post was scheduled to cease wef September 2018).
Thank you Tracey for all your hard work.
I happened to be in T/mouth yesterday and couldn’t help but notice that the lead story in its local paper (The Teignmouth Post) concerned the Traceygate affair (ie the whys and wherefores that led to Tracy Scranage resigning as the town centre manager for Teignmouth and Dawlish).
As this is also a Dawlish issue I thought I’d post about this on here.
According to the newspaper report an investigation into the whole affair was commissioned by Teignmouth Town council at a cost of £2,000. The resulting document is some 78 pages long but despite its length has come to no definite conclusions as to what happened. Amongst those who gave evidence were Cllrs Lisa Mayne and Martin Wrigley from Dawlish and ex Dawlish town clerk, Ann Tipper.
T’mouth councillors will now decide whether the report should be published in full or kept confidential.
I was in T'mouth last Friday and again bought a copy of the Teignmouth Post as the lead story (again) concerned the background to Tracy S's resignation.
I held off, until today, posting anything on here concerning this latest newspaper report as I thought there might be something in today's Dawlish Gazette as it is also a Dawlish story given that Tracy S was also the town manager for Dawlish and that Dawlish town councillors have been/are involved.
However as there is nothing in today's Gazette here is my report on last Friday's Teignmouth Post report.
Basically - an investigation has been held by Teignmouth town council to find out who said what to whom etc etc. in order to find out the background to Tracy's resignation. The report cost about £3,000. All the main players in the saga have been interviewed but no conclusions have been made or blame apportioned.
The report was on the agenda at a very recent T'mouth town council meeting but with the exception of two councillors (Cllr David Cox and Cllr Jacqui Orme) the councillors present voted that it should be discussed in the private part of the meeting although it was eventually decided to publish the first half of the report with the rest being kept from the public.
According to the T'mouth post "there was substantial documentation concerning events, arising from both town councils, individual councillors and others".
I'll try and find a link for that first half of the report.
