@Romulus i agree with some of yourr comments. the vast majority of staff at waitrose are really helpful and courteous but recently i did a click and collect order and the woman who served me was incredibly patronising, suggesting i requested my ordered then did my shopping so she had time to collect it for me. it then took her less that two minutes to come back with my order! me being me i did say ...
Defnitely Dan Cook, he is reliable.
Got some happy memories of this place, mostly from the late 80s when it was run by a really nice oldish guy who, as a five-year-old, I simply called 'Little Man'. However, time moves on and it always seemed to struggle to recapture that same magic. I had high hopes when the guy from Coryton's cafe took it over three or so years back, but perhaps the upkeep of a pretty basic building battling ...
Opened today at 1pm. Great little convenience store, I wish them all the luck.

Work on recharging the beach in Dawlish Warren as part of a £14million engineering project is a step closer to completion. The scheme is aimed at reducing the risk of flooding to over 2,900 properties around the River Exe and is predicted to bring economic benefits of £158milllion. The overall scheme is due to be finished by October, but work on recharging the beach with sand, that began last ...
I was told last week by GWR that the first wave was built in Japan and the second wave is being built in Italy. As long as they are not of the same design as the original Virgin Voyager trains then the waves crashing over them should not be a problem. Time will tell...........
AKA "Jamie Devon"? He owes local homeowners thousands of pounds! Vile man.

No, Brooklyn Bridge, it's not just you. I for one would much rather have the reassurance of seeing a police car parked in plain sight and this would probably act as a deterrent, to a certain extent. Of course, this also requires them to implement the law, something they seem curiously reluctant to do.
A grandfather yesterday told how he unearthed a stash of valuable black truffles in a client’s back garden - just a month after setting up a new gardening business. Yesterday he said he was keeping the location of his untapped source secret to avoid any opportunistic foragers descending on the property but has admitted it is in his home town of Dawlish, Devon. After all the problems We have been involved wars ,austerity, bank crashes, brexit, elections to win elections to lose etc,etc My opinion is the quality of parliamentarians, especially those that have somehow attained higher office over the last 40 odd years have been sadly a bunch of under achievers. My only hope the adage Cometh the hour cometh the man may happen.

Having just joined the ranks of being a pensioner I wonder how these people look in the mirror or sleep at night when they take my council tax out of my monthly entitlement. Would like to comment more bluntly but Ladies present.

I have absolutely no idea Burneside who reads/posts on this site and where they may quite literally, physically, be based. And neither do you.
