No Brenda the soil in between some of the trees at the bottom of our garden has washed away and we need to top it back up, had 72 tonnes in already and we can now start to see the results hopefully another 80 tonnes should be enough.
We have tried all Dawlish chippies, the ones in the Warren plus Cofton, Ladys mile & Starcross For us it's either Cofton or Teignmouth I think it's unfair to name the worst
Wonder if the webmaster wil beablle to doaything about the problems

Apparently a bank can become a betting shop without a change of use required as both are financial. It just goes to show your gambling putting your money in to a bank
Competition is good well done Weatherspoons
Whatever your man and van offer to do it for, I will do it for the sam eamount as long as you give that amount to the sea cadets, hopefully i've explained myself i will do for free, you still pay but in way of a donation to cadets :-)

Bumped again just so it's at the top
Leatash = no argument here
The area known as Violet farm still has a few people growing violets
All sorted hens rehomed, look like nice birds. For sure they'll have a good life
I did get outside and do some work, kept the chainsaw going so reasonably warm, that breeze was cold, I'm not moaning I'd sooner have today rather than the past month. Nice picture
There is a ship that sucks sand up at Teignmouth, and takes it into the docks (apparently)
I have a spare water pump and hoses if anyone gets caught out, also we have spare accomodation if anyone does get flooded out.
Maybe they think its eggciting, do you think 6 reports maybe an eggsageration. Maybe the report has been scrambled in translation, be careful no one poaches this thread, I bet the drivers were boiling mad. My opologies for eggsploiting your thread. Is my post a little eggstreme ?
Wow, we must have missed something, we put money in the bucket so at least we helped in some way.
Does anyone know of a primary to 11+ tutor within the Dawlish area please, for a year 6 student.
You'll all be pleased to know there were several arrests last night by the looks of it, didn't see any aggresiveness, but one chap in cuffs sat on a bench, and a copper with 2 others.
someone from the new houses was moaning about the cars/people around Gatehouse school, maybe it was him, fed up with trying to get past school traffic.
BB check out your rights before you do anything don't rely on what someone on here tells you. Fred Bassett, the British may have won the war back then but who's winning it now and who's laughing at who. So really you want a company to pay £270 million to buy a business then give it to the British because we beat them in a playground fight 70 years ago. have you heard yourself ?
Land subsidies - if this helps for example potato's in the uk currently fetch £265 a tonne average in holland £175, France £169, Belgium £162 without subsidies how much would those potato's be???? They have recently changed the subsidies and there are very few for bare land now the main subsidies are for land with crops, from 2014 landowners will have to prove they farm or they will lose their ...
Hi, Not quite sure what happened but there was a colission, There seemed to be at least 1 bus involved along with a car. Cars turning round stated it looked like 2 buses head on but that seemed to be incorrect, the road was closed for approx 15b minutes. Gentleman stood out in the pooring rain slowing the traffic down so as to avoid another accident, there are still some good people around.
I think it's a good thing at least the site will now get cleaned up, It won't look such an eyesore, the children will have to attend school, and their will be some sort of accountability. They will get refuse collection and therefore not need to dump rubbish. As for council tax what about all these people living 11 months of the year in their caravans on Peppermint, Oakcliff, ladysmile etc etc ...
We have been told the chip shop in Newton abbot is the best around (eat in as well) so we went over yesterday for lunch 9 of us arrived at 2.03pm only to find it had shut, all the staff were inside, they didn't want our business. Maybe we should have stayed here and walked down the warren. We will try the new one next week.
It's actually for a friend of mine, I think she wants to do gifts / childrens clothing
Hi flo there is a park planned opposite Gate house school though it's part of a planning condition so when the houses are built the park will be built.
regarding the spend spend spend comments on here, you are correct, if in hard times you pull back and stop spending the economy reduces, I believe we should continue to spend though on things such as research and development also supporting export businesses and new inventions, new technologies. On a personal level I believe in hard times like these I think people should really think about how ...
personally I would pay the bill but still question your charges. If you rainwater recycle then your sewage rate is reduced, if you reduce your water usage by flushing loo with rainwater your sewage will go down again. A toilet uses 7- 9 litres per flush average home 200 litres a day from toilet use @ £1.95 per cube = £3.90 a day water plus £2.35 sewage Rainwater electric use £3.12 per month ...
