Love at First Bite now open at Coryton Cove everyday from 10am hot and cold drinks, ice cream, sandwiches and hot food. Go on give them a try
The young ladies down there are doing a great job - I'm so pleased that we've got a decent cafe down there again.
Wish they did real coffee. not instant. Only needa few cafetieres. Apart from that it's nice to have a cafe there again.
Good to see Love at First Bite open today.
Cafe's very busy in Piermont Place except Willo's which is closed.
Sorry that some of you are disappointed that we have taken a week off. We have been open from the 8th Febuary, and have worked right through until last weekend. We didn't take a break after Easter so have decided to take some time out to recharge our batteries, visit our families, and generally rest. We have worked hard to achieve a top ten position on Trip Advisor, but have consistently remained at either no 3 or no 2, which we believe is to the good of Dawlish. We will be open again very soon and looking forward to seeing our regulars and working 7 days a week until September.
Love At First Bite 8 mins · . I'm really really sorry but we're unable to open today at the cove! We aren't in the business of letting people down and I have really struggled to make this decision today.
Unlike the letter writer in this weeks Gazette, I definitely don't want "free" Wifi installed at the new permenant cafe when it's built.
Coryton Cove is an area for relaxation, watching the world go by, and friendly conversation with people around you. You don't get that if your heads permanently bowed down and your eyes are squinting towards your smartphone.
People will use their smartphone regardless of whether there is free wi-fi, and if they do, so what, how does that affect your enjoyment of the cove?
Agree. Cant believe they all sit on the beach glued to their phone....sad or what!! ..nobody talks to each other anymore on trains and anywhere you go.
Please allow me to turn your question around Burneside. How does having "free" wifi enhance your enjoyment of the cove?
I rarely buy the paper version of a newspaper these days, instead preferring to read the news online (more up-to-date you know), and that includes using my smartphone when out and about. I've even been guilty of doing that down at the cove, but then it's no different to having my head buried in a book or newspaper, which is a pretty popular pastime for beachgoers.
Anyway, the provision of wi-fi at Coryton Cove is irrelevant to me, my phone signal works fine there, and the data allowance is more than enough for my needs, even reading newspapers online.
