We use Julie's dog walking reasonable and reliable, our puppy loves her and she's always bringing him little toys and walking him longer than we have asked. Her number is 07977867281
Hi Cassandra , The service will be based at the Manor, with appointments with Advisors on Thursdays and Fridays. Anyone wanting help should either attend the CAB Gateway sessions at the manor on Tuesday mornings (10am to 1pm) or ring 08444 111 444. Mobile phone users can ring 0300 3300650. There is an initial assessment to find the best way to help you.
I can absolutely assure you that you don't need 2 hours to get through Check-in and Security. :-) And looking at their website, there are plenty of international destinations. :-)
Network Rail has confirmed a time table of repairs for the Dawlish Warren to Dawlish and Teignmouth walkways that were battered by storms in February. Works are now being undertaken around train services, with Network Rail working in available periods to reopen the sea wall areas for the public as soon as possible. On the Dawlish Warren to Dawlish route, the walk way section from Boat Cove to ...

Well done to all those who participated and such professionalism was shown by the pipers during the heavy rain. I loved the little girl dancing a lot and it was great when John Millin went down from the bandstand and danced with her. Amazing Grace . Oh wow. When all the pipers joined in, how stirring was that!!! A superb afternoons entertainment and again, well done to all concerned.
THREE men are due to stand trial next month accused of committing a £12,000 robbery at a Dawlish holiday park last summer. Michael Kelly, 21, Karl Daniels, 36, and Dean Smart, 27, appeared at Exeter Crown Court on Thursday. They have each denied robbing a member of staff at the Golden Sands Holiday Park of £12,000 on August 27. Kelly, of Littiatt Lane, Bath, Daniels, of Wookey, Somerset, and ...
Absolutely brilliant video...also spare a thought though for everyone westward who also lost their railway service albeit not in such a stark way. Penzance was stranded around 100miles from its nearest London service. We really were 'all in it together' on this occasion!!!
@Mrs C - sorry about my sceptical question, stems from a thread where i think people were asked if they use dawlish trains and there were a lot of very ambivalent answers, so good for you Train services are profitable from the summation of all the users so I am very pro absolutely every possible community having access to services. There are some very staggering blind spots in this respect. Ask ...
Cheers,Thanks for everybodys help its much appreciated.
Here's another idea. Whether part of the artwork or separately, use Dawlish Station as a 'platform' (pardon the unintended pun) to create a sort of Bayeaux Tapestry that tells the story. Not so daft, as many London Underground stations do just this to celebrate their history.
Richard is based up in Manchester. It can be quite difficult to get a hold of him, he is extemley busy. Message me if you want his number Kind regards
Until such time as the Governement issue every child with a free E reader on starting school which gives them access to all the classics and other good quality reading material free of charge (as is the case for adult E Readers such as Kindle) so every child has access to a wide range and rich source of books to read then we need libraries or Hubs or Devon Centres, call them what you like. We need ...
My best wishes to you also that your greyhound makes a full and speedy (no pun intended) recovery. Beautiful animals.
Thanks for the feedback DJ. Holiday periods are inevitably a good testing time for seeing who has their act together, or perhaps, to be charitable, is a 'victim of their own success'!
Do you know if it's NR or FGW in charge of station repairs?
Michael Clayson: the only response I have ever had from J Clatwothy (Deputy Leader DCC) is "do I have your permission to forward the the relevant person" then nothing. I hope you have better luck
Perhaps they could replace all the traffic lights in Teignmouth with mini roundabouts now, that would really make me happy, lol Happy easter
New Civil Engineer 17.04.14, commentary by NR, '...there are still longer term issues and the South West and its economy remain vulnerable...We welcome the review looking into a long-term solution to the resilience of the railway network and look forward to more news on this in the autumn.' - fed up with being the ones to be paying compensation ?!
Pleased to see that the preparatory work has commenced ahead of the desilting that's going to happen upstream from Dawlish. We've already seen the benefit of the initial phase, so hopefully this next phase (and subsequent phases in the town sections) will nail this on the head. That said, I was pleasantly surprised to see today just how clear the water was coming through the town. The water ...
Maps are only useful to those that have the ability to read.
@flo - no probs. whether axe robberies or the boys, it is increasingly hard to be surprised albeit nevertheless shocking particularly when in a holiday context. transparency, daylight, sensitive advice to young children and publicity on forums/newspapers are all vital tools in prevention. i remember being told as a boy never to get in a stranger's car, but not why or even that non-strangers are ...
Extract from letter dated 1-4-14 from NR (Patrick Hallgate, Western Route Managing Director), Network Rail, to Newton Abbot MP, Anne Marie Morris. “With respect to the future improvement in resilience of the railway between Exeter St Davids and Newton Abbot my Route Asset Management Team is currently commissioning a major engineering feasibility study. This study has been initiated by the Route to ...

A man has been warned he faces a certain jail sentence after being convicted of sexual assaults on two boys at the seaside caravan park where he lived. Bradley Daines-Degroot sobbed as the jury at Exeter Crown Court convicted him of male rape against the boys who were attacked while staying at the Oakcliff Park in Dawlish. The two victims were brothers who were aged between seven and 12 at the ...
After a long Winter break, we have just resumed our fortnightly Development Circle with Paula Bounsall. Paula has suggested that we open the Circle for a few weeks to attract others who might be looking for an opportunity to sit with like-minded people and work towards a greater spiritual awareness and to develop their own abilities to work with Spirit Guides, Angels and other Divine Beings. In ...
This is nothing new when the Police where responsable for parking everyone had 10 minutes grace on Double yellows for loading/unloadind and is it still not the same if you are loading or unloading heavy goods.
In the new era of 'Anschluss and Sudetenland' parallels, Europe vitally needs to be seen to pull together and be united for the common good, right now. End of.

Don't think a DAL would particularly help Dawlish or tourists. Although those on that side of town may then be nearer to a station, I wouldn't bank on getting one in the near future at least. No I think Dawlish is very fortunate to have its station exactly where it is and to stay served from both directions! Best solution is to make a really good job of a breakwater/groynes etc to push the waves ...
http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/04/09/iain-duncan-smith-universal-credit_n_5116336.html?1397037592 He couldnt organise a piss up in a brewery, what an obnoxious being he is, penalise the disabled poor and he is wasting taxpayers money on this ill thought out scheme, he and his pals need to go now before they damage this Country anymore (or rip us off more) ...
In case folks missed it. There is an article in the latest edition of The Town Crier about garden sharing (see bottom page 2). Basically Dawlish Transition are wanting to match together those who have gardens/land but are unable to use them with folk who have no garden/land but would love to have one/some. Could you share your garden/land in return for some of its produce with someone who could ...
