In the new era of 'Anschluss and Sudetenland' parallels, Europe vitally needs to be seen to pull together and be united for the common good, right now. End of.

Don't think a DAL would particularly help Dawlish or tourists. Although those on that side of town may then be nearer to a station, I wouldn't bank on getting one in the near future at least. No I think Dawlish is very fortunate to have its station exactly where it is and to stay served from both directions! Best solution is to make a really good job of a breakwater/groynes etc to push the ...
http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/04/09/iain-duncan-smith-universal-credit_n_5116336.html?1397037592 He couldnt organise a piss up in a brewery, what an obnoxious being he is, penalise the disabled poor and he is wasting taxpayers money on this ill thought out scheme, he and his pals need to go now before they damage this Country anymore (or rip us off more) ...
In case folks missed it. There is an article in the latest edition of The Town Crier about garden sharing (see bottom page 2). Basically Dawlish Transition are wanting to match together those who have gardens/land but are unable to use them with folk who have no garden/land but would love to have one/some. Could you share your garden/land in return for some of its produce with someone who ...
I think what leatashs means is nothing of worth for a good debate
The area known as Violet farm still has a few people growing violets
@Mrs C - 'closing the line' - where did heck that come from!! no, no, no, don't get me wrong, i love the stretch, and visited it out of choice countless times when living for many years in exeter. it's also the best relief of scenery to pass the time on a lengthy journey to cornwall. need something on a route that takes twice as long as getting to paris from london. i would die of boredom ...
No wonder the Eurostar is the mode of transport of choice for Euro MPs. All that courtesy food and wine that comes with a first class ticket...silly me thinking it was to do with being green or 'turquoise'
Well that really is local news at the most appaling end of the spectrum.

Well done to all at network rail, for getting the railway line at dawlish up and running again. Dawlish is my home town, although I've not lived there for a long time now. I did not realise how special that part of the line was, as it's only when you get older that you apriciate these things, and although I've travelled on it loads of times. You don't realise what you have until it's gone. Let's ...
Seems from the answer on the BBC is 200years for the breach (happy days for those houses) and therefore 4-10years for the rest of it.
Yep, that's a train! Good old Dawlish webcam, don't even need to go down there to check.
I had realy bad reception when using a Blaupunkt tv i have recently purchased a cheapo Celcus 32" from Sainsburys and perfect reception same arial same place in the house so is it that some makes recieve better than others just a thought maybe a expert would know.
Are you suggesting a car race through Devon??
A TODDLER who fell and was unresponsive was flown from Dawlish Warren beach by Devon Air Ambulance yesterday. Helicopter paramedics were first on scene at the beach and took the little boy to the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital. The boy had fallen and suffered a serious head injury and the ambulance landed in the area near the amusement arcades. The rescue was one of seven in a busy Sunday ...
She's been coming to the Manor for surgeries for several years. Do you mean that she didn't know where she was?
Try looking on the Surfers against Sewage website Hollie. They regularly organise beach cleans and may have some advice/information
If you come across cyclists everywhere you drive, then it sounds like you have stalker issues, so no, this probably wouldn't change; however....I know many (ok- a few) cycists who use the road to avoid the Powderham-turf locks section, so it should reduce the numbers at least! Let's not forget, that cyclists are perfectly entitled to use the roads (although 2-a-breast is just anti-social and ...
Sure thing we could make it a tripple header Cats, Badgers, Pheasants. Need to get posh Mr Cameroons permission first though.
Shhhh Roberta. You'll spoil FredBassetts tea with such positivity!

Andysport. I have given some thought to why i dont visit the beach anymore its probably because the children have now got there own friends and do their own things. When they where young it was a great way to entertain them its free healthy and safe but i have decided that at least once a week i will have a walk along the wall and take the air looking forward to it all being open.
Politicians just can't win can they? If they ask for an opnion then they're being intrusive and nosy, if they don't ask then it means they don't care! It's better to be asked for an opinion, then choose not to give it than not to be asked at all.
I'm very happy! At last they've given us control over how we manage our pensions, which means I'll finally be able to retire six months earlier than previously planned. (I'm over retirement age but still working part time.)
The planning report states the outline application was received in July 2003. The airport was majority owned by Devon County Council at the time, and has since changed hands twice, most recently in 2013 to Rigby Group, which also owns Coventry Airport.
BBC Spotlight have got video footage of it at 6.30 tonight
Outline planning permission was granted (all matters reserved) and here is the conclusion of the meeting. http://www.teignbridge.gov.uk/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=40300&p=0
Totally agree with you Clive. It's what I've been getting at all along.
